Megan's first timed Mile running!

just have to share.....Megan's PE class had to do their first timed mile yesterday, they were supposed to do it under 13 minutes to pass....Megan ran it in 13 minutes and 35 seconds, her teacher was kind enough to pass her! she said she trotted more then ran.
The apple doesn't fall far from the tree, I always hated running.

Proud of my girl for giving it her all!!

I hate the timed mile in gym and all my kids are runners! Everyone can't run a 6 minute mile.
Tell Megan, "it doesn't matter how slow you go, you're lapping everyone who's still on the couch"

Glad to hear your daughter passed the dreaded mile test. Back in my days, I wish we could've been tested on running the mile in less than 13 minutes. I ran the mile in 7m30s and my teacher told me it wasn't a passing grade. Had to be under 7 minutes and gave everyone the option of trying it again the next day. I ran it the next day in 6m15s and passed. I doubt I can even run a quarter of a mile now a days.

I hate running!! Good for her. We had the option of walking an 18 min mile. Running isnt my thing either.

Yay for Megan...tell her to befriend the PE teacher. That is what I always did and I managed to pass all those timed tests.
