:yay: Meg!! Great find! Such a great age appropriate dress, I know it can be really hard to try and find something that isn't too revealing for a JBM.

I love the frame too, that was really sweet of her to get that for you:thumbsup2 And it totally matches your placecard holders too awesome! You are going to love ADH when you see it in 3 weeks, everything will just fit so well with your colors/theme/style when you get there. Yay for ADH weddings lol!

Hi Meg! Just wanted stop in and say hello, I am FINALLY back on the boards. Thanks for the comments you left on my PJ! Ready to dive back into updates and keeping up with everyone else's plans. Love everything I've seen so far that you've been working on, really love that frame from Things Remembered!! Talk to you soon!

Meg, I'm so glad you were able to find a dress. That's so awesome that they just happened to have a return in that size in your color!!! Also, the frame is beautiful. :goodvibes

Hey Meg! Your JR BM is adorable. Very cute dress.

I love the frame.

Did you get the pictures I PMD you with? were you able to find the one you wanted?

Aw that was so sweet of her! The frame is beautiful and that is so cool that it matches your place card holders.

Oh I love that frame:lovestruc

It is gorgeous. That's pretty neat how it matches your place card holders. And I'm sure a picture of the two of you will be the perfect finishing touch!

Thank you both! And I should also mention that my stepsister MOH is going to put the names of our guests in all of them! YAY! :woohoo:

Hey Meg, love the frame and the dress is perfect. That is so great that you were able to get the dress so quickly and that you found shoes.

Looks like we will be getting down to Disney May 19th or so. What dates will you be down there. Hopefully we can get together.

Linda

Hey Linda - We're there through the 20th. On the 19th, we have 8am - Makeup Trial, 9:30 - Roots Engagement Session 2pm - Carolyn Allens for tuxes. If you and Sheldon are around the evening of the 19th we would love to get together! :thumbsup2

OMG, Meg that carriage frame is too too cute!!!!! I want one!!! And the Jr. Bridesmaid dress is cute too!

Thanks Angela! I couldn't believe how lucky we got with the dress!

wow how perfect that they had a return in the correct size and color!!!! Love the sneakers with it! :lmao:

That frame is beautiful!!!!!! I am jealous! I want one!!!! :worship:

I have a feeling the sneakers are going to make their way to the reception one way or another! :rotfl:Thanks Toni!

the frame is very cute! MIL will love it! And yeah for scoring a great Jr BM dress! It looks great on her! :thumbsup2

That frame is incredible!! What a super sweet gift! And the dress is just perfect...:flower3: Congrats on being less than 6 months out!!

Thank you both! I though Ash looked really cute in it. Yellow is her color! I have ordered her not to grow anymore between now and October, but let's see how well that works!

Morning Meg! I'm sorry I haven't posted for so long, the days are just going by in such a big blur now...I can't believe it's just over 3 weeks now!! :scared1:

I love all the planning you have so far, and it's so exciting that you found the perfect dress for your FG in the exact color you needed!! I'm so excited for you, everything seems to be falling in place for you (with a lot of hard work too of course!)

Oh BTW, what time will you guys be coming in on the 15th? I'm trying to figure out a time we can meet. We have to decorate the gazebo (hang twinkle lights) after 6:30 pm, and then have PS ressies for Ohana at 8:20. I'm going to have to get to bed at a decent hour, because I have to get up at 4:00 am for my 4:30 appt with Beauty Speciale :headache: Can't have bags on my wedding day! :rotfl: (at least no more than usual!)

We need to talk! :goodvibes I'll give you a hollar this week...I know you're really busy too.

Happy planning!! You're getting close!

KEL!! We're in at about 7pm and then taking Magical Express over to POP. I think you have my number - give me a buzz this weekend and we'll chat! I'm so excited you're so close!!! WAZOO!

Love the frame!!
And what luck Davids had that size and it fit! :thumbsup2

I can't believe you've got all your guys measurements - you are so on top of things!!! I have none but DFs!

Thanks Jennifer! I started getting the measurements in January - I needed a cattle prod to get them from the Best Man. LOL

The carriage frame is beautiful! That was soo sweet of her! :goodvibes It's great that everything worked out with the FG. I think it is so crazy how after a girl turns like 10 or 11 clothes/dresses become way too revealing or as my mom likes to say questionable. But I am soo happy that that worked out for ya!

OMG Ashley you're so right. Questionable is right on. I mean we have to fix the front of the dress, but you should have seen the other ones! It's seriously my soap box issue. Kids should be kids!!

I can't wait to see it Sam! You know, I still haven't seen the pictures the parents got. BAH! LOL

YAY Larisa!!! Welcome back! I'll be stopping by your PJ to put in my two cents this weekend. I can't wait to see what you've been up to!

the dress is very nice! what a great find! I love the carriage frame too...congrats:goodvibes

Thanks muchly!!

Hey Meg! Your JR BM is adorable. Very cute dress.

I love the frame.

Did you get the pictures I PMD you with? were you able to find the one you wanted?

Yes I did Lynn - thank you so much! I had PM trouble - it didn't send my response the first time. I hope you got the one I sent earlier!!

I love the picture frame!!

Thanks muchly!

Hey all - I just spent four hours making a binder for my planning session. I had a huge one and papers and links all over. And the post it notes?! WOW! It was such a mess. So I've divided it up and cleaned it up and it's just super spiffy. I'll do a post tomorrow to show you the pictures I'm bringing for inspiration and what I want to do. I feel so accomplished and like I've got my self together! YAY!

But in organizing, I came up with the following questions. I'm going to list them in absolutely no order. If you have an answer to any of them, please feel free to answer!

1. What checks will I need for the planning session?
2. Do we have to meet the 7500 minimum if we end the reception by 5? (We're thinking of getting our pictures done before the ceremony, to be able to cut out the 1-2 cocktail hour)
3. Do we need deposits right now for our tuxes at CA?
4. Is the Brevard County License applicable for Orange County?
5. How do you pay Rev. Jack? And when?
6. If we're arriving there October 8th, and leaving October 20th - when can I call to get ADRs?
7. Do you really need dessert with wedding cake?
8. We're going to have guests who are staying off property - is there parking for SBP?

These are just a few right now. This is just what I've found going through my junk. Anyone have any insights?

The bed calls - I can't wait to show you all my inspirations for the ceremony for the planning session! And I also want to go over our selections for the food. Does anyone know how many things you need to choose (like how many soups, salads, veggies, and main entree?) We're limited to a buffet by ADH.

The bed calls - 6am comes early!!

Good night all!
-Meg :goodvibes

I can help with a couple of your questions!

1. What checks will I need for the planning session?
We didn't pay for anything while we were there. You don't have to worry about bringing any checks for the planning session. Basically its all about planning.

4. Is the Brevard County License applicable for Orange County?
Yes it is!

5. How do you pay Rev. Jack? And when?
We gave him cash. He doesn't want to get paid until the wedding day. I gave the money to bobby since he saw him first.

6. If we're arriving there October 8th, and leaving October 20th - when can I call to get ADRs?
You can call 90 days from the date of your arrival and make ADR's for the entire trip. So 90 days from October 8th.

7. Do you really need dessert with wedding cake?
I don't think you do. We had dessert offered in our buffet package but I cut it out since we had the cake and of course the dessert party.

8. We're going to have guests who are staying off property - is there parking for SBP?
The guests can park at the Boardwalk parking lot. They will have to walk to SBP but there are signs around for them to follow.

Hope that helps!

Glad to hear you are going with CA. We should be down there on 5/19. If we can we will stop by CA to say hi. It is right around the block from my father-in-laws. If that doesn't work - we can see what is going on that night. Maybe even DTD for some ice cream. When we were down in March we met up with Samatha her DH and Becky (2 other Disbrides) and had alot of fun talking Disney weddings.

We then met Samatha and her DH a few nights later at ADH. They wanted to check the place out.

We had a ton of fun meeting up too! ADH was awesome hearing about it from the experts who had already had a wedding there:thumbsup2

We should all have a big DISBride meetup at some point! That would be too cool! I love how Sam wore green - Becky's color! (I now see green and think Becky!)

More questions! I'm at work printing pictures and writing things out!

1. Can you use the lighting at ADH?
2. Who makes the menu cards? Is that something you have to do?

Toni - thanks a million for your answers! :goodvibes

Hey Sam, yes we had alot of fun at DTD and ADH. Here are a few photos from that night.

Meg, you and your DH have to go there to check it out.

About the lighting, I did not even ask about the lighting but it was used during our reception. Here is a photo or two showing the lighting. I love some of them - it looks like there are stars on my dress.

Menu Cards - I made ours - you do not have to use them - but I love the way they looked on the table. This also gave people something to bring home (which they did). I do not have any closeups downloaded but as soon as I do I will post it for you.

Hey Meg, just wanted to share this with you. I have my cousins wedding this coming June at Tavern on the Green in Central Park in NYC. I was planning on wearing the dress I wore for my engagement photos then I had second thoughts on it because there is alot of white in it. I would not have minded if someone wore this to my wedding but now I am not sure. It is also a Saturday night and I am not sure if it is dressy enough.

So I was out doing some shopping and stopped in at Davids Bridal and tried on this dress.

4-09DavidsDress004-1.jpg

Look familar. The one in the store was too big but I really like it. I think it is also a little dresser. What do you think?

What does everyone else think. Is the white one too white to wear to a wedding? There is black stitching in it but I don't want to look like I am trying to compete. Especially as it is a family wedding and some of the people at this wedding were also at my wedding.

Thanks,
Linda

Linda

Hey Linda - I like the second one, but that's just because I also picked it out! LOL! I think Angela has the same dress as well! It's a beautiful dress and it's a little dressier, but can be dressed up or down. I've always been hesitant to wear white to weddings, but that's just me. I like the white one as well, but I'm partial (who woulda thunk?) to the second!

-Meg

PS - Rob said go ahead with the marquee lettering! Thanks for the pictures!! :goodvibes

Meg's Great REVEAL OF HER PLANS for her PLANNING SESSION! DOO DODODO DOOOO! (Where's my trumpeteer when I need one?)

May 15th - fly Bangor, ME to NYC, NYC to Orlando getting in at 7pm. Magical Express to POP.

May 16th - MY 28th BIRTHDAY!! Kelly's wedding (Tink_Kel) at sunrise and then Magic Kingdom afterwards. Lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern (one of my favs!) and dinner at Coral Reef at EPCOT. Illuminations! WICKED PISSAH! :woohoo:

May 17th - Hollywood Studios all day! Lunch at 50's Cafe, haven't decided on dinner - I'm so bad with ADR's!:rotfl:

May 18th - Food tasting at 9am over at the Boardwalk. 1pm Planning Session. Who really is going to want to eat after all that food? We'll probably grab something in the food court of POP if we get hungry. :confused3

May 19th - Hair and Makeup Trial with Patricia LeJeune at 8am, Engagement portrait session with Roots at 9:30am and then field trip to Carolyn Allen's for tuxes at 2pm. Meetup with Linda possibly! YAY!

May 20th - Back to the Arctic. Blecch. :sad2:

I'm going to break down my ideas for my planning session and run them by you all tomorrow. More to come...:surfweb:

yey for preparing for your planning session!

As a former guest at an SBP wedding I can say that yes there is parking but it can be one heck of a hike. For whatever reason they made us park across the street from the Boardwalk. We had to cross the street, walk past the whole convention center and then go down to the boardwalk and hike out to SBP, avoid Randy taking the brides photo, all while carrying a Britta water filter and some other large item we had just picked up at Target before the ceremony :lmao:

Oh and we totally need to meet up while you are here. My half birthday is the 17th :thumbsup2

Your planning session sounds like SOOO MUCH FUN!! What a great way to spend your birthday!

I didn't think I was going to get to have one, but we found an unreal price on Travelocity tonight and booked it for July 18 - 21. Now we just have to figure out what we're going to do when we're there . . . :)

I'd love to see photos from your hair and makeup trial run when you get back . . . we're using Patricia also.

WOW - thanks for the info Becky! I have family members who I know won't be able to walk that far by any means. I'll have to ask when I'm down there what can be done! Of course, we'll leave the Brita pitcher at home! lol

We'll def meet up while I'm down there!! :thumbsup2 I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one who remembers half birthdays!

I'm so psyched to get out of the cold and into the warmth!! Congrats on booking yours! You really can get some great deals right now if you're flexible with the time. I was going to get married on the 18th originally when we were planning to have it up here (random useless knowledge of course!).

I'll do a planning trip TR when I get back! And I'll definitely have pictures to share. :thumbsup2

Hey all,

As you know I've been getting ready for the PS and have ideas of what I want. I'm going to share them and if anyone has any thoughts or ideas of what other things we can do, please let me know! :thumbsup2

Ceremony - Sea Breeze Point:

- The tuile (sp?) swag on the arch with two blue hydrangeas at the corners. Inspiration is this picture -

boardwalk9.jpg

With the new chairs at SBP (picture thanks to Jenna)

chairs.jpg

We're not doing chair covers. I was thinking of maybe swagging the aisle side of the chairs, but it depends on the cost.

We're also going to do yellow rose petals down the aisle and have a yellow rose petal staged exit.

Obviously we'll need a sand ceremony table. I don't know if you spiff those up or anything. :confused3 Here's a picture of my sand ceremony jars and sand.

CIMG1154.jpg

We're also going to have a Memorial Vase of flowers. I haven't decided if they're going to be yellow or white though... I keep going back and forth. We're already going to have alot of yellow with the rose petals, dresses bouquets etc but they'll show up better. White is traditionally the color to use from what I can find on the internet, but they won't show up as well.

The BOUQUETS!

I don't really have an inspiration picture other than
IMG_0080.jpg

Which are just my two flowers of choice. We're definitely thinking silk after all the horror stories as of late with Keepsake. My bouquet in my mind is kind of modeled after I think Scottish_Canadian (sp?) She had a beautiful bouquet but there were some hidden things on the bottom.

So I see blue hydrangeas with yellow roses with accents of sea grass (for the New England theme). Hand tied with a yellow handle with hidden Mickeys. At the bottom of the bouquet I would like one gardenia for my Aunt Tee, who died about 13 years ago, but I was extremely close to. A sprig of shamrocks for my Irish heritage and a NE Patriots charm complete the bouquet. I wish I had talent to draw or something to show it. Oh well.

My toss bouquet will be a small cluster of yellow roses. Nothing fancy.

The MOH bouquet will be yellow roses and blue hydrangeas - hand tied as well, but without all the extra stuff I've stuck in mine. The JR.BM will have a smaller version of that.

My FG will either have white rose petals or blue hydrangea buds. Also haven't decided. Need to see if they'll do the hydrangeas - haven't seen it done before! Of course all petals will be real per Disney standards. Here's my FG basket if you haven't seen it before.

CIMG1148.jpg

It's a Nantucket basket - made on Cape Cod, Massachusetts - so there's some New England for you!

The groomsmen bouts are going to be yellow roses. Rob's (DF) is going to be a yellow rose with a sprig of blue hydrangea to set him apart.

I haven't thought much about the mother's corsages - I'll post on the main board to get ideas for this. Not sure how we go about it - like do they match the wedding or what?

We originally were going to do a piano player with a violinist, but have taken that out for cost. We're planning on doing the music by CD. Do I have to find someone or will they provide (at cost) someone to do it?

As stated before, we're going to do the Major Domo - I just think he's too cool! :thumbsup2We are having a 3 year old ring bearer and we'll send him down with this pillow I got off Ebay

CIMG1144.jpg

So that's the decor for the ceremony. I'm working on the ceremony itself, which I should have finished by well... October 12th! LOL :rotfl:

Next up is the reception, but I don't have all the pictures I need on my work computer.
