Yay for being 6 months out! You're getting so close.

I really have nothing constructive to add, except to whine that's it's flipping April 5th and it's freaking snowing , which has nothing to do with your wedding!

And I don't think I commented, but your new dress is great!

Oh Geez - you've still got the evil s word too?? I was driving to school today and it was snowing. I'm so giving up at this point! LOL Glad to know I'm not alone. It's funny - we moved into our house when the evil s-word was covering the ground. Now that it's melting, I almost drive by the house lol! (Random useless s-word knowledge!)

It will FLY by! It seems like only yesterday I was posting in my PJ saying "Yay! 6 months!".

I know! It feels like we were just saying how quickly it would go by for you. Now I'm almost at that mark it seems like it will take forever! I can't wait for your TR next month!!! YAY for almost being there!

I wish I had some advice for you of stuff to do but I got engaged at the 6 1/2 month mark so at about 6 months I was FREAKING OUT! . I guess the only thing I can say is make good choices. That is something that my mother has been telling me for the past couple of months and I just say yeah ok, Mom! So maybe it will have more of an affect on you.

I think I've made some good choices (hopefully! )- that's a good piece of advice for my PS though! Thanks Ashley!

6 months yay Meg! Thats awesome! I think if you just write down some ?'s and bring pics of things you like you will be all set... oh and from what I have heard bring your appetite for the cake/food tasting lol

Sam I am! I love your pictures just haven't had time to comment!! Rob and I aren't planning on really eating on May 18th - our tasting session is scheduled for 9:30am! I have no idea what to try though...

GO SOX! I loved it! Anytime we beat Tampa I'm a happy Meg. Rob and I got tickets to see the Sox (can't remember if I posted this) from his brother for CHristmas. The date? September 12th against the Rays! Exactly one month before the wedding. I'll definitely need to relax at that point! I'm so excited!!!!!

Also, pictures! Bring lots and lots of pictures....

Carrie - I just realized your book has a timeline umm that was my moment of the week! I managed to get it onto my IPhone through a PDF app (although you have to type in the pg number, you can't flip through it) and I read through it again. What I need to do from your book is (which as you know I love! http://www.passporterstore.com/store/1587710781.aspx for anyone interested)

1. Order Bridesmaids dresses
2. Book the rehearsal dinner
3. Purchase rings
4. And find Rob's mother a dress. That last one is the most difficult!

Alot of the other things we'll be doing over the summer. My DF has a weather website that does better in the summer as far as income, so we'll be using alot of that for favors and rings etc. We know what we want for the ring - the jewelers just told us to come back in August so we don't lose them! I'll be seeing my Jr.BM, my niece April 17th +18th and we'll get her fitted then. I'm going to email my MOH, my step sister tonight and we'll get going on that.

When I go down to Portland to see Ashlyn, Rob's mom is coming with - we are going to try to find a dress for her! We've been looking for 4 months now with no luck - but we are keeping the post office in business with all the returns we've been doing! She's about a size 4 and petite (5'1" I think) and everything is just too long. We've thought about getting something hemmed, but with many dresses, it would mess up the design to do so. So the search continues!

I can't book the rehearsal dinner - we were thinking Ohana's, but if anyone has any other options that might work (party of about 15, 4 kids) I'm open!

I've got more to report but dinner's ready - I'll post an addendum after dinner!

I knew when I asked my cousins to be bridesmaids it would come along with the drama, but I'm pretty sure in the end, they will be here. I would talk to them and see what they say. My boss' 3 year old grandaughter (I'm friends with her daughter) and one of my best friend's sister's daughter who is 5. So I may have gone from the problem of no FG to too many! I figure even if all three come we'll just send them down the aisle as a group.

Hey all!

Once again I have managed to defeat the bonds that have tied me to Northern Maine and escape to Portland, ME! My niece Ashlyn was staying with her dad in Portland for April break, so the MIL 2B and I took a field trip to see her! It was lovely to go see my niece and take her dress shopping.

We went to David's Bridal. Now if you haven't been reading along with this, Ash is 10 years old (11 in June) and is now about 5'1". So I had been having a really hard time trying to find a dress for her. She's about a size 18 in Girls, but most of the Jr BM dresses only went to 16. So we went to DB and tried on regular BM dresses. They were all way too old for her! So we asked if they had any size 18 girls in stock at all. The women who helped us (and were UBER helpful and nice) looked in back and found a return. A Girls Sz 18 Jr BM Dress in Canary!! I prayed that it would fit, because it was just perfect. I'll let you see for yourself how it turned out!

(Don't ya just love the shoes?! LOL! )

WE GOT THE JR.BM Dress!! WAZOO!! All they had to do to it was take in the front, so we paid and it will be ready for pick up on May 15th. (Day before my birthday!! And day I'm leaving for my PS!) Mike (Rob's Brother and Best Man) will pick up the dress so I don't have to worry about that. I also found flat strappy sandals for Ash for 13.99 in the dyeables at DB. We're having them dyed canary as well!

Mike also gave me his measurements for the tux so now I have measurements of all 4 guys who needed a tux down there! YAY! I feel so accomplished!

I wanted to show you all what my MIL bought me while we were in Portland. Ashlyn found it at Things Remembered and Anna, my wonderful MIL had it personalized for us. We're going to put one of the pictures the Roots will take when we're down in FL and put it on the Cake Table. Check it out -

Love it! and was so touched at her kindness. It's just perfect!

So that's all from the frozen North, where we still have a little bit of snow on the ground. Getting busy with our Yard Sale coming up May 9th and 10th and the Planning Session on the 18th. Only 175 days left to go!!!

And I just realize it matches my placecard holders!!!

My step-mom Lucy found these at Hobby Lobby and ordered them for me - how coool that they match the frame!

Morning Meg! I'm sorry I haven't posted for so long, the days are just going by in such a big blur now...I can't believe it's just over 3 weeks now!!

I love all the planning you have so far, and it's so exciting that you found the perfect dress for your FG in the exact color you needed!! I'm so excited for you, everything seems to be falling in place for you (with a lot of hard work too of course!)

Oh BTW, what time will you guys be coming in on the 15th? I'm trying to figure out a time we can meet. We have to decorate the gazebo (hang twinkle lights) after 6:30 pm, and then have PS ressies for Ohana at 8:20. I'm going to have to get to bed at a decent hour, because I have to get up at 4:00 am for my 4:30 appt with Beauty Speciale Can't have bags on my wedding day! (at least no more than usual!)

We need to talk! I'll give you a hollar this week...I know you're really busy too.

The carriage frame is beautiful! That was soo sweet of her! It's great that everything worked out with the FG. I think it is so crazy how after a girl turns like 10 or 11 clothes/dresses become way too revealing or as my mom likes to say questionable. But I am soo happy that that worked out for ya!
