Met Captain John on the Wonder back in 2008. We had a nice conversation and as we're both Brits we were keen to know where each other was from. You know how it goes when you're chatting and you sort of generalise where you come from then narrow it down more and more to a town and village? Well it went as follows.
1) We both came from the north west of England
2) We both lived near Liverpool (yeah, the Beatles)
3) We both actually lived north of Liverpool
4) We both lived near a town called Southport
5) We both ACTUALLY lived in a village just to the south of Southport

We actually had lived with our houses backing on to each other when I was younger! Now that's Twilight Zone
What topped it was he knew my father-in-law and his brothers as they'd all worked in the Merchant Navy at the same time!!!!
