I've seen posts here that suggest that you can sometimes meet the Beast from "Beauty and the Beast" in addition to Belle, and that the best odds are in the France part of Epcot. Could anyone give me more info on this, like WHERE in France and WHEN are the best times to go look?

My little girl would be thrilled to meet the Beast! I'm not going to count on it happening, of course, but I'd like to increase our odds, and I know someone here will have the scoop!

He is actually there pretty often - when you get to Epcot in the morning - go to Guest Services and ask them what time Beast will be in France that day

I have seen him there in two locations - once in the library with Belle and once in the courtyard just past the library - when you get to France walk back into the shop area and on they are on the right - just ask a cast member where it is once you get there

We were at Disney in November and met Belle and the Beast in Epcot. They were in France - hidden past the fountain towards the back. In front of each country they usually have a board that states who might be there and the times they are around. We also saw Mulan in China and Aladdin in Moracco. Hopes this helps.

As the others posted, you can find him easily in France. A little more detail about how to find the spot...When you go into France and pass the fountain, there are little shops and things around. To the right, you will see a window that has books in the window. It looks like a little library or book store. If you go in the little walkway next to that window, there is a door to go inside. That's where they usually can be found.

When we were there in January, Belle and the Beast were in Belle's library in the shop in France.

In Sept we had a really great interaction with them. We saw them just past France (almost into Morroco) right on the promenade next to the water. There was no one in line to see them, so we stopped for pictures. After our group picture, my D-I-L asked the Beast if she could get a picture dancing with him. Belle tapped her on the shoulder, put both hands on her hips, started tapping her foot, and said 'Excuse me, but he's my Beast. I'm the one you should be asking.' My D-I-L of course played along and asked Belle's permission. It was hilarious. We looked at the Beast and he was looking down at the ground, shrugging his shoulders and feet, and just looked so generally henpicked that it was hilarious. Anyway, we got a great picture of my D-I-L dancing with 'Belle's Beast'. When we left there was still no one waiting to see them, but of course Sept was an extremely slow month.

Yep, I too saw him in the library in France, about 7pm which was nice because it was a great excuse to have a cake from the patisserie round the corner while we waited ;)

We saw him in the same place everyone has mentioned at Epcot. Last year we met them both in their library inside the shop. We took the picture and when we got home and developed the film, the flash hadn't gone off and so the picture didn't turn out. When we went this past Oct, we made it a point to get to Epcot to see them. When we got there, we saw Belle and Sleeping Beauty standing out in the courtyard, and the Beast was heading in. We went and met Belle and I asked her if the Beast would be back out and she told me when he would be back. When we went back over to see him, she saw me and said "You made it back" and she told the Beast that I came back just to see him. He held his arms open and pulled me into a huge hug! It was one of my favorite character experiences that trip!
