Meeting Rapunzel?

I would really really really really really love to meet Rapunzel. Yet, I'm not looking forward to standing in line for 2 hours at princes pavilion and then getting another princess... Is there any way to guarantee meeting her? Would lunch at Auberge give me more of a chance then princess pavilion or are chances about equal? Is she at pavilion as much as the other princesses or do some princess do more shifts then others?

I've never heard of her being at Auberge yet. However, RoseBug met her at Inventions during one of those themed Sunday brunches.

During our stay at the beginning of May we always saw Rapunzel leaving or going in to the Princes Pavillion, with one exception. Said exception was when I actually got in the line Saturday morning and met Ariel. The one time I actually want to meet Rapunzel and then that.

That's exactly what I'm afraid of! I don't mind waiting in line but if I've stood there for 2 hours and I see Rapunzel switching with Ariel or someone else right in front I've my nose, I think something would snap. :rotfl: Point is, it's a bit unfair that they don't just hang out an itinerary so at least you'd know which princess you're queuing for. if your daughter is a Belle fan and ends up with Ariel I can imagine you'll be walking around with a very upset child for the hour afterwards.

totally agree.... altho - sumtimes u can ask at cityhall where they might be?? this is what i am trying as ds2 desperately wants to c rapunzel, and ds1 is in love with cinderella........ so i will b asking there and hoping for sum help!!!!

a rota pinned up wud be so much easier - least before u cud c who was there!

We are beginning to panic about the princess situation in August, DD will not be able to queue for anything more than 30 minutes so I am thinking the Princess Pavillion (and most rides) will be out of the equation. She has been telling me that she really wants to meet Belle, Tiana and Ariel - 3 of her favourites who she didn't meet in Feb (apart from happy birthdays during the parade!) but unless they just happen to be at Auberge I have no idea how we will manage this.

In Feb, Rapunzel's own meet & greet was still up and running, but was cancelled the day we were there because it was so cold - we were exceptionally lucky because the CM who was telling people it was cancelled arranged for a private meet with Rapunzel at City Hall, because it was DD's birthday and she'd made R a gift. 30 minutes later we went for Sunday Brunch at Inventions and in walked (a different) Rapunzel and Flynn! But I am thinking this is because it was a few days before Valentines Day (Mickey & Minnie were prince & princess too!).

I will be going to City Hall and asking about where we might catch certain princesses, and if they can tell me who will be at Auberge. Even if we have to eat there twice to meet her favourites - I guess that's the only way forward! It would be so much better if there were a rota displayed!

I hope you manage to meet her!

yup thats right - all princesses are in the princess pavillion - but u cant see whos in there til u get in.... and apparently theres 2 in there but u only get to see one.... so ive heard???????

its a nightmare for a set of characters who r all very popular and different.....:confused3

Oh no!! I'm glad I come on here, I've got this years guidebook and that's where I'd read about it. I'm gutted! We'll have to try the Pavilion.

We qued twice during are stay in march, both times for over 2 hours. First time we met sleeping beauty and the second time we told the CM we didn't want to see sleeping beauty again, he let the people behind us go first so we met Cinderella instead. It's just pot luck thou as to who is there. Its such a shame it's not like America were I've heard you join one que and meet several princess, one after another.
There was obviously a lot of work put In to this building and the queuing area is lovely but in my opinion it wasn't planned very well!

Hope you get to meet her we were really disappointed we didn't get to see her in March we even went to City Hall to ask when she would be in the pavillion we were told twice that they couldn't tell us and the third time that she wasn't available that day :( We are really hoping we do see her in September she is a very popular lady obviously x

Yes, you will only see one. On opening day they let us see both, but that was the one time that ever happened to me personally.

When we were at the parks in May I was in the first 10 and we saw Sleeping Beauty and Ariel going in. Because I obviously didn't know who of the two I'd meet I had both drawings out for signing. The CM at the end of the line saw and boy did she snap at me that I would only be meeting one of them. Even when I told her that I saw those two coming in and unless she was telling me who I'd meet I couldn't tell and needed both drawings out she still didn't tell me who I'd be meeting. Just looked at me weirdly.

I've been witness to one of these meltdowns even in the pavillion. On the first day I met Ariel. Then they allowed me to wait to see the second princess. The kid in the group before me freaked so bad. She started shouting at the poor princess that she didn't like her, she wanted to meet Snow White. It was really, really bad. The CM and I were staring at each other with our jaws on the ground. It took forever until the parents finally left with the kid. I felt so sorry for the CMs and especially for the princess, who turned out to be Mulan. Going from the screaming you could really have thought one of Cinderella's stepsisters had sneaked in there.

You don't actually see the switches by the way once you are in the pavillion. There's a line already outside before they open and you can see the first princesses go in. Once you're in the building they're out of sight.

I'm not sure how WDW is handling it at the moment, but in DLR California it's three or four princesses. They are kind of hidden too, but at least there the CM will tell you who you will be meeting if you ask nicely.

They won't tell you who's at Auberge. Supposedly they don't know, at least this is what they are claiming. We once found out when asking directly at Auberge, but three other times we were shot down there as well.

Yesterday someone saw her on Monday at Auberge de Cendrillon :wizard:

She was on her own though. They also got Cinderella, Aurore and her Prince and 2 mice :goodvibes

Now if we can have a repeat of that on July 14 I'll be a happy camper. LOL Philip is the last prince I haven't met too.

But that's again one princess less, isn't it? The least amount of characters we have seen were two solo princesses, one princess with accompanying prince an the mice.

Same thing isn't it or am I confused :lmao:

Rapunzel and Cinderella = two solo princesses
Aurore and prince = one princess with accompanying prince
Two Mice

I'll keep checking on what other people report and cross everything that you get your wish :wizard:

I don't think my children would completely loose the plot like that but it is hard for them to understand why they can't just meet their favourite. I think we might have a problem because we will be trying to meet Rapunzel and Snow White :confused3 Oldest DD thinks she is too old for princesses but I think she would still secretly like to meet Belle too.

No, I was an idiot. That was during the time when Cinderella was out at the photo stop, so I forgot to add her.

We had Cinderella at the photo stop plus Snow White with prince, Belle and Aurora and the two mice in the main room. Means one princess less.

Get you now :goodvibes

Maybe they think that Rapunzel= 2 princesses and they are money saving :rotfl:

Nothing would suprise me now over there :rolleyes2

Yeah, I would not be surprised at all either.

Granted I wouldn't be sad about not seeing Snow White again - for some reason she always walks past my table first - but one princess less would decrease the value a lot. It's already pretty much borderline for my taste.

Oh dear, we were planning on popping into Auberge at opening on our last day to see who the Princesses were, and if they were different to on our first day, we were thinking about sneaking in another meal, rather than Cowboy Cookout!

But if they are going to be funny about us asking - maybe we won't bother!
