I’m planning our trip with 4 girls 3 are doing BBB with a plan to go to CRT after.

I was also going to do some other Princess meets while they are dressed up, but i find it annoying that Cinderella meets with Elena. If they see Cinderella at dinner I’m not sure I’m going to easily be able to explain away seeing her 5 minutes later with Elena.

Guess we will be meeting Elena while dressed up.

Obviously this is not a huge deal and in 2/3 years it won’t be an issue but I’d like to keep the magic alive for a little bit longer.

Sorry it's a problem for you.

If they did it the other way, with every princess having her own line, people would complain about having to wait in line for every single character.

Sometimes it is the same Cinderella. That happened to us actually. We went to BBB in July with my girls. We met Cinderella before breakfast at CRT. In your case, you will meet Cinderella before dinner because Cinderella meets before the meal not during like the other princesses so you can always say she moved locations. We had scheduled a FP right after breakfast to meet Elena and Cinderella. Elena was a must do because my little one loves Elena. She actually was wearing an Elena dress. It was the same girl playing Cinderella as at the castle. Cinderella says well nice to see you again. We just visited at the castle a little bit ago.

Not saying that will happen every time, but sometimes it does apparently.

100% agree and in no way should they change it for me. Just a vent since I planned out my day and now realizing this doesn’t work for me. DD already is asking how Santa is in so many places how is Mickey on WDW when we go and DL when we go. So trying to give her the least openings for questions.

Good to know. Need to decide if it’s worththe risk or not...

You may find they don't even notice/ask. DGD never did. So many of them look incredibly similar (on purpose of course) and yes, we adults see it but kids, nope. They are so worked up and excited they never question why there are so many of a given character.

Fingers crossed! But last week she asked how Mickey is in DL when we go and WDW when we go. And how is Santa in so many places...

It's called Disney magic for a reason (or Christmas magic)
Because of all the things a kid should question, it's the size of the character, not that they are in multiple places. I'd be more worried they'd want to know why the mouse is bigger than they are, or a dog, or a duck, etc.

Good point! She hasn’t asked that yet. She loved meeting characters last trip. Maybe I’m over thinking it... which would be typical for me.

My kids don't think of the princesses as real, per se; the princesses are animated and the face characters are real people. They never wonder why Pooh Bear is giant, etc, either. And we have visited Sesame Place oodles of times with bigger-than-life Elmo, etc., too, though, as opposed to what they'd seen on DVDs. I wonder if they won't notice at all, especially with all the excitement.

She has started to ask why Mickey is in DL and WDW and Santa is in multiple places. We shall see, maybe she won’t notice, and I’m over thinking it.

Also we go to sesame all the time, season pass holders! :)

We've done it several times over the years, most recently last November. We didn't do BBB but the Ivy Trellis, followed by dinner with Cinderella and the prince at 1900 Park Fare; then off to MK for princess meets. The never mentioned seeing any difference in the princesses (Cinderella and Rapunzel as we had done the Trattoria breakfast the day before) although my DIL didn't get them to sign the book again.

As for Santas, we go see this one Santa who is known as the Legendary Santa, with a line to match, lol. We tell the kids that the others are helpers.

When we met characters multiple times last trip we didn’t have them sign multiple times either.

But we didn’t meet characters that close together...

Our daughters met Ariel at her grotto on one day. Two days later we were having breakfast at Akershus and when my daughters went up to "meet" her again, she remembered them. They loved it!

If you're really worried about her noticing, maybe start the interaction off yourself with something like, "Oh, Cinderella! We're excited to see you again so soon after dinner at your castle! You can run really fast in those glass slippers!" to give the Friend of Cinderella a heads up.

This is pretty good too!

We all do that.
We tend to view things with adult cynicism instead of child wonderment. Children so often take things at face value. They don't often question why. You always have a few exceptions, kids are all so different.
