Just want to confirm there is no FP for this?

I’m starting to check the waits, for my trip in two weeks, is about 45 minutes average? Best bet to go right at opening?

There is no FP. I'd say average wait is about 30-45 min.

They have multiple sets of sisters so the line never really gets too long

Our wait for Anna & Elsa was relatively short (like 15-20 minutes). We were there probably around 7:30ish at night.

We went last March around just during the day ( noonish) and we waited 25 minutes or so but it goes by super quick. I will also say it was one of the best M&G we had our whole trip.

Thanks everyone! We have met them a few times but I have a feeling she will want to do it again!

we rope dropped them in august and were the second people in line...
after A&E, we did FEA standby...

in other words, we rope dropped both the meet and greet and the ride...

it worked fine...

on our race from the rope drop over to norway - quite a walk to be sure - there were a lot of people in front and around us....
i was worried we'd encounter a long line at FEA once we were done with A&E, but it was fine....

We don't want to spoil the magic for little ears by hinting there is more than one Anna and Elsa.

The only * to this plan now is they have since added FP to the ride starting at 9:00 AM. It was 11:00. So that will cause the stand by line to build faster than it did in August.

Is it better to rope drop the ride or the characters first ?

Definitely ride. Wait times can go up pretty fast for the ride. The sisters often actually have lower waits in the afternoon because the RD FEA crowd often then hits the M&G right after it. There’s not much else to do in WS until it opens at 11:00 so people visit the sisters. I’ve been seeing wait times of 40 mins in the morning but 25-30 in the afternoon.

i should add that we'd already ridden the ride once, so we were less worried about getting on the ride..

our motivation was getting to A&E, who'd had very long lines every time we passed by..

we were at WDW for 3 weeks, so riding FEA wasn't a problem....even with that infernal tiering system, i think we may have FP'd FEA twice...or more...

i can't remember all our strategies (i have a color-coded excel that we used for our 24 days at WDW)...

and none of our pre-planning strategies were set in stone...

we did a lot of changing on the fly.....both our rope drops and our FPs.....lots and lots of on the fly changes..

you really have to be flexible as things can happen....

like our rope drop of peter pan...

raced there after the opening show....had a good place in line and then wouldn't you know it...

the ride had a mechanical difficulty and they closed it...

so much for rope drop plans..

fortunately, my daughter in law LOVES it's a small world, so all 8 of us raced across (got there before anyone else seemed to understand that PP was closed), rode the ride and found out that our toddler grandkids had found a new first love....it's a small world (the 3 year old kept requesting that we go on it)..

so anyway....the best laid plans of mice and men....pretty much the same thing with all your WDW planning....plan, but keep in mind that things will happen, so you can't let it throw you....go with the flow (as the turtle said)..

.

We have gone a RD both times we saw them, and both times only waited about 15-20 minutes.
