Meet the Robinsons

I just took DS to see it yesterday and although Matinee cost is $5.75, we paid $8.25 for the 3D, even for children! Anyway, it was great and I totally cried at the end when they had the tribute to Walt!:sad1:

I soooooooooooo hope that when it comes out on DVD, that they will make it so you can get it in the 3D format( that's why I saved our glasses and put them in a safe place until then)!

I saw it on Friday, I would wait till it came out on DVD.
As far as Disney Films go, using Toy Story and Lion King Ect. as the A movies I would give this one a C-. Nowhere near as good as Cars or the Incredibles. They humor seemed forced and the story left too many open ends. My boys, 7 and 5 didn't say much about it the rest of the day like they did with the other films.

Sorry, but the technique of the "polarized lenses" (the glasses that you now have) can't be used on a DVD recording of the film.

That technique must be "dual-projected" in a theater using matching (to the glasses) polarized lenses on the projectors.

That's why there are no "good" -3D on TV- systems.
The only way to even TRY that is by using RED and GREEN/BLUE colored filter glasses.
But that causes the film's color to be horribly distorted and, even then, the 3D just doesn't WORK worth a dime (family board.)

So... the only way to see the spectacular 3D in this film is to go to the theater during its run.

Thought is just a really fun movie. This week we will go and see the 3D version too.
Loved the tribute to Walt. :thumbsup2
My soundtrack is on the way. :goodvibes

my oldest DD [8] enjoyed it, the other 2 [6] & [4] were very squirmy...it was too slow moving for DS [4] for sure. They all said they liked it at the end though. DD [8] and I sat through all the credits hoping for someting at the end...nope.

It's a great movie, but better for older kids and adults probably...like 8-12 kids. Too much story line not enough action for wee ones.

Definitely see it in 3D. My 6 yo kept trying to grab the rain. I do wish more things flew at you though. But it was very good quality 3D. We went Matinee & paid $8.75 for us and 8.25 for kids...yuck. We could have seen it 2D for $4 so we gave kids the option...they had to pay the difference to see 3D from their allowance...they all ran up to get their money. LOL.

It sounds like I have a couple reasons to go see the movie again in 3D this time (DD6 didn't want to see it in 3D yesterday for some reason)...

from Film Ick: The very first shot was simply breathtaking - a street lit by sodium lamps in the heavy rain. The shot would have been striking in 2D but with the added depth, the cascading fields of rain, it was - and I'm being utterly sincere - one of the most incredible things I have ever experienced in the cinema.

and from Broke Hoedown: there will be a real divide between those who see the film in 3D, and those who don’t. If you’re going to see it at all, you need to see it in digital 3D. Plus, that means you get to see the 1953 Donald Duck cartoon Working for Peanuts in its original 3D — for this Disney geek, that alone was worth the price of admission.

I thoroughly enjoyed the movie in it's non-3D format... So I'm sure I'll LOVE it in 3D... My only complaint about the movie is that I wasn't floored by the soundtrack. There wasn't really any music that had me singing when I walked out of the theater. In fact I don't really recall any of the music for that matter...

Our family saw the 3D version Friday night. We all loved it. I admit I loved it a little more than DH, but he did really enjoy it. Both DDs enjoyed it too. They are 11 and 8 years old.
I did cry a couple of times in the movie. :rolleyes1 I cried at the end when they showed Walt's quote. I also cried when the music was playing and Lewis entered his new observatory/science lab for the first time.

Saw it in 3-D yesterday at the El Capitan theater in Hollywood and both DH and myself loved it. It is one of the best Disney movies I have seen in a long time.

We saw it yesterday. DD and I really liked it!
