We just came from seeing Disney's new movie, Meet the Robinsons. I am happy to report that the theatre was packed and everyone applauded at the end of the movie!popcorn:: popcorn:: popcorn::

They gave us glasses like the ones in Mickey's Philharmagic as we came in. There were many nods to Disney including, "There's a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow" in the soundtrack.

I read reviews before we left that said that the movie was too in depth and a lot like Back to the Future. I think they did a great job and that the movie taught a great lesson.

Everyone get out and go see it this weekend!!

Oh, and if you take your ticket stub to the Disney store from this weekend you will get a free Meet the Robinson's kelidascope!:dance3:

The rain in 3D was awesome!:woohoo:

Keep Moving Forward

Thanks for the great report.

We'll see it Sunday in 3D.

:thumbsup2

Just did it in 3D, too. Was really cute and I even got a little weepy at the end (in a good feeling sort of way). Loved the tribute to Walt in the quote at the end.

I just got back from the 3D show. I loved it. I still say the part with the T-Rex from the TV previews is the funniest! "I have a big head. And little arms!"

Saw the movie yesterday too! Thought it was adorable! All the little kids in my theatre seemed to love it :thumbsup2 The lesson was great and the quote at the end almost made me cry!

The dinosaur is STILL my favorite :rotfl: popcorn::

We are taking the kids to see it in 3D tomorrow, I can't wait! :woohoo:

Glad to read the good reviews here. It got mixed reviews on Rotton Tomatoes. Most of the reviews were really good, but there were some that didn't like it, some said it was disappointing. :confused3

I'm taking my nephew who is four, I'm a little worried about him and the 3D...I'm hoping the 3D effects won't be too much for him...IF he'll keep his glasses :3dglasses on that is!

Just got back...the 3D effect is not at all frightening or used for shock value..very integral to the viewing (and yes, the rain effects are really well done) and not at all a gimmick. The movie is touching, inspiring and exactly the kind of story I WANT my kids to see.

My 5yr old son LOVED it! This is the one who, 45 minutes into "Cars" yelled out, "Can we go home now? This is boring!" I couldn't argue with him there. But unlike the sominex salesmen in "Cars", MTR has characters that are actually worth more than yawning over.

I would regard "Meet the Robinsons" as the most "Disney" of Disney movies for the past 20 years or so; very much an homage to his vision.

I just saw Meet the Robinsons today, and LOVED it. I am even thinking about seeing it again. I thought it was really good, and loved that a quote from Walt Disney was included at the end of the movie.

Sorry to Burst the bubble...wwe saw it last night and all I can say is "yuck":sad2: Skip this & catch a Jimmy Neutron episode...It's the same thing!

Sorry if it has already been asked...but are all the representations in 3D

We saw it today too and really enjoyed it. We also saw it in 3D

PopArtGal - did you mean are they also showing it in non-3D? Yes they are - they have it in two theaters - one for the 3D and one non-3D (at least around here they are doing it this way)

I happy to read positive reviews about this movie. Most of the reviews I have read haven't been too favorable. I hoping to take my granddaughter tomorrow.

We saw it last night, in 3D, and I loved it. It definitely exceeded my expectations. We'll probably see it again in the theatre.

But the 3D is it close to Philharmagic or more like it hurts my head like in sharkboy and lavagirl?

It DID make me cry! But I also cry from the new logo before the movie so that's not saying much. Anyway, about the movie...LOVED IT!

We saw it today in 3D as well...................I wanted to let everyone know if you get on disneymovierewards.com you can mail in your tickets for additional points!! Also.......if you are a disney visa card member. Now through april 4th at www.disneyrewards.com/mtr they are giving away the movie soundtrack if you answer questions about the movie!

Did anyone else have to buy their 3-D glasses at the theater? This is the first time our family has seen a 3-D movie in our local theater. We went today to pre-purchase tickets for a matinee tomorrow. When they gave DH a total of $32, he questioned them. It's supposed to be $6 each for a matinee. They said the glasses for the digital 3-D are $2 a piece! So, we now have a keepsake from the movie! Maybe this is the norm, but it seemed strange to us!!

We're going tomorrow, I can't wait! I'm glad to see some positive reviews about the movie because so far all I seem to see is negative. :confused3
