LOL!! I don't have any prom pics Actually did not care to go to my prom which is why I have no pics. I'm sure DLmama will happily put green mickey ears on them for everybody though.

My junior year, my mom didn't want me going to the prom. My parents were super strict. We got in a big argument over it because my sister went to about 6 proms when she was in high school - her first was when she was in the 9th grade. (she was the pretty one and the favorite).
No one had even asked me. So I was determined to go just because mom didn't want me to.
I asked a guy who was 4 years older than me, in college, and engaged. We had a minor fling in the past. He and my sister used to be friends. One of my best friends was dating one of his best friends. So I asked him because I thought it would be fun if the 4 of us hung out. Well, my friend and her bf had other plans that night - KWIM? So I was stuck with this guy the whole night and I really didn't want to be with him. We actually stayed at the prom. When he took me home, he tried to kiss me and I dodged it and rushed him out - wouldn't invite him in. My sister and her bf (now dh) were eavesdropping & spying. When I shut the door, she was dying laughing because she knew I dodged the kiss and surprised him by rushing him off.

TEminnie, I am not sure how to read your post. Are you happy or sad over your circumstances? A few minutes alone would have been sheer heaven to me when I was raising my kids. If you are sad consider this. I have not even seen my son in several years. I might hear from my daughter today, maybe. On the upside I have many cards, emails and phone calls from my other surrogate kids. I did not even have to change their diapers, sit up with them when they were sick, pay their bills or anything. Sometimes I think they are my 'favorites'.

Miz Diz. thank you so much for adding me to the list. I appreciate your hard work. It seems all I really have to do to embarrass my children is to breathe. Might as well start actually doing something then. Any suggestions?
