Meet & Great Manchester

Hi all. We normally book a taxi, but have looked at prices for this service (just under £70 for 3 weeks) and wondered if anybody can give any reviews or information if they have used this. Also if you used a company you would recommend please let me know.

We use the Manchester official airport one

Nothing to tell really use it every time we fly from Manchester, you arrive it uses ANPR to check your car is booked in. You are in a tin shed with cameras all round so they are obviously taking pictures of your car from every angel. Some guy tells you to park in a lane and then take your keys to a office at the side, you're given a ticket.

You cross the road into departures.

You go to Florida

You come back

Take the ticket back to the office they tell you where your car is (100 yards normally) get in go home.



One time I booked to park in the wrong one and didn't realize, I phoned and told them from the terminal while waiting for the flight and they put it in the right park when we returned. One time our flight was canceled and we had to return the next day that was no problem for them as well.

So all good really

I use It all the time at Manchester, I wouldn't use anything else now, its so easy and as close as you can get to T2 entrance

I've just booked this for the first time and my advice is be careful to book the official one through the airport website. There are others advertising meet and greets and I've read some horror stories about them.

We were there the other day and someone was left stranded by an unofficial meet and great that just hadn't bothered returning to meet them so be careful to read some reviews first. They had been waiting an hour already and no sign as our taxi left! Depending on where you are, we use a fab taxi service and they are £25 each way for a great big minibus, dependable and really friendly. We're west edge of greater Manchester.

The taxi price is now £150 plus any tip which is why I was looking for an alternative. Now I have booked
Manchester VIP - Meet & Greet - Undercover - through Looking4parking.com, it has good reviews but should I be worried as it wasn't through the airport website?

We have used VIP last 3 or 4 times thru Looking4parking. This year we returned from Dublin on New Years Day. When we arrived at Man airport to drop the car he told us they do not work N Y's day. The guy gave me his own mobile number and said he would take it home and return it as soon as we landed, could not fault his commitment.
Like I told you by PM, we have paid £56.25 for 26 nights meet & Greet, direct with MAN airport website £134.99, that wouldn't be an option for me, far too expensive.

I panicked as I looked at the reviews for the company looking4parking which are not that good, but the reviews for the vip meet and greet are good - so I was just hoping that we would be fine.

You have to check for your dates and see who is offering best deals. For your dates MAN airport look to be better (on Looking3parking use code MSEUK31 and price drops to £41.79)
You also tend to get better deals with VIP by booking further in advance, I booked back in Feb at £56.25, its now over £80.

Nothing, its just the name of the company http://www.vip-parking.co.uk/
Although when you arrive the paperwork says Day by day parking ltd, no ref to VIP.
