Any Grown-ups remember this? I grew up watching the "ORIGINAL" MMC and now on the Disney channel they have the nerve to change it to Meeska, Mooska, Mickey Mouse......GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR that makes me madddddddd!!!!! Also,,,Why cant they run the "ORIGINAL" series later at nite.?? Would be nice to sit back and reminisce about the good-ole days of the MMC

I was a major fan and my grandfather even bought me "mouse ears" to watch the show. Although they have tried to duplicate the success of the original show it has never happened. You can buy the original series on DVD.

Ohhh... I wish they would show the old MMC on TV! I use to love watching that growing up (of course it was re-runs in the 70's). I remember Cubby and Darlene and what was the series that they would show? It was one of the older Mousketeers and it was like a mini-series on MMC.

Two come to mind, "Spin and Marty" and "The Hardy Boys" (looking for the GOLD DA-BLOOMS)

PS I check and all I could find was the following which isnt the complete series:

The Best Of The Mickey Mouse Club [DVD]
"Come along and sing a song and join the jamboree" with this collection of classic episodes from the original '50s "The Mickey Mouse Club" series, including "Fun with Music Day," "Talent Roundup Day," "Guest Star Day," "Circus Day," and Anything Can Happen Day." 113 min. Standard; Soundtrack: English Dolby Digital Surround.

Which of us boys didn't fall madly in love with Annette? I know I sure did. The first female I ever thought of as other then just another person;)

I was fortunate enough to spend several hours with her back in the later 80's. Ahhhh, dreams do come true:)

I don't know if this is true or not but my father told me that once when he was a little boy my grandfather brought my aunt and my dad to see the Mickey Mouse club live. He claims at the end of the show he became seperated from my grandfather and Annette Funicello found him crying and helped him locate his family. My dad was born in '53 so I'm imagining he was around 5 years old at the time.

Mickey Mouse Club! I used to go to a neighbor's house afterschool just to watch "Spin and Marty"!!! They were my dream! :lovestruc
Anyone remember the little guy called "Moochie"? Don't remember his real name but my aunt was so inamored with him, that she nicknamed my little cousin, "Moochie" when he was about 4 and he is now in his late 40's early 50's and guess what his nickname is!!!:rotfl: :rotfl:

His real name is Kevin Corcoran. I had the pleasure of meeting him and Tommy Kirk at a film convention a few years ago. They both co-stared in "Swiss Family Robinson" (my all time favorvite film)
and we had a nice long chat about the film and how they did certain scenes, etc, BTW, Kevin's sister Noreen is the girl who played on the TV show "Bachelor Father" back in the 50's

Oh, I so envy you::yes:: I loved Tommy Kirk. Also had a big crush on Peter McHenry ( The Moon Spinners and the Fighting Prince of Donegal ). I'd love to see them bring back the original MMC!
