Just wonder if anyone is going to have a go at booking one of these cruises for 2007?

I don't think so. I was originally considering it, but given the prices of the cat 1,2 and 3 staterooms, I'd rather try seabourn or radisson if i'm going to be spending that much.

You do realise that cat 1 is the Walt Disney Suite or the Roy Disney Suite, complete with Grand Piano et. al?

If I had money to burn I would go for it, but I think a cat 6 or 7 would be fine.

yes

 ( I already replied on the DCL forum)

I cant sleep - fingers x that I get on - otherwise I'll stow away!

:rolleyes1

Yes, we stayed in the Walt Disney Suite on our last cruise (the one with the grand piano - the other one doesn't have a piano).

I have to admit, as much as I like DCL and think they have a fabulous product for Disney fans and cruise fans, these Med cruises are horribly over-priced, especially for such an ordinary itinerary. There is MUCH better cruise value elsewhere in that area.

I do agree Simon as does my DH (he has cruised extensively around the Med and the Caribbean with many other cruise lines before I came on the scene) but this time we're not going for just the itinerary, we're going for the Mouse and we were prepared and fortunate to pay up in order to tick all the boxes for us ;) I'm still getting to see more of Europe than I would have done because I want to vacation with Disney and if they weren't going to the Med then I wouldn't be going to the Med LOL

We were waitlisted so we're all booked on an 11 nighter - and yes it's a ::gulp:: more expensive than our 10 night cruise that we have booked for the Caribbean with DCL for Xmas - but we won't have to pay for a long haul flight or experience it. I'm very excited :Pinkbounc

:cheer2: HI :cheer2:

Dh and myself are booked onto the 28th July 11 night cruise. We are going Cat 11 , paying for 1 person and using DVC points for the other.

I know its a lot, compared to other cruiselines but it is actually just £100 more (in cash) than weve paid for just flights this year to WDW. Plus food is included.

With Disney i know what its about, and I'm thrilled to be on.

party:

Dellghted for you both
enjoy your cruise :cheer2:
and Please can you give us a trip report on it

I got a quote for us
away out of our budget :rotfl2:

there is not much differents in the price of the 10 day Med and 14 day report

I'll have to win the Lotto :cheer2:

Oooo Helen I didn't know you could book with points for one person and cash the other - I have a friend who will want to do that - how does she go about arranging and finding out the points for each cabin?

I see July 28th is a popular one woo-hoo :Pinkbounc

You book through DVC member services - Saying you want 1 on points and the other cash. The only down side is you have to pay the balance of the cash person in full when you book ( I had to get the old credit card out)
You also pay $75 arranging fee.
Also they have waived the 11 month booking window - I was able to borrow points from 2008 for this cruise.

Another bonus was you coud use the free phone number!!

You can find out the points in the DVC website ( you have to be a member to access this)
I'll try and put them here! (adult points only there are differnent onesa for children)
