DD is home sick w/ strep today and I was looking in the freezer for something for dinner since we are housebound.
I have a pound of ground beef and a pound of ground pork. Could I combine the two and make a meatloaf?

I combine the two to make meatballs, so I don't see why not. I have been using ground turkey a lot lately to make meatloaf and found a ton of great recipes online... I think there was a recipe site where you could list what ingredients you have on hand and it gives you recipes... I will check and see if I can find which one is it.

Yes, that's what the butcher sells as "meatloaf mix" at the grocery.

Wanted to share my families favorite meatloaf recipe - easy easy

1.5lbs ground beef
1 cup water
1 box stove top stuffing
1 cup Sweet Baby Rays BBQ Sauce

top formed meatloaf w/ BBQ sauce and bake @ 350° until done.

This is my DS11 favorite meal - very super easy to make and the combo of stuffing mix and bbq sauce is great.

I would also combine the sausage and ground beef in this recipe :thumbsup2

Allrecipes.com is the site that you can list what ingredients you have and it will give you recipes to fit your ingredients.

Here's a recipe

2 lb Ground Beef
2 T Ketchup
2 T Mustard
2 T Milk
1 Package Lipton Onion Soup Mix
1 Cup or More Bread Crumbs

Bake @ 350 for 40 minutes or unitl done

I've started making my meatloafs in muffin tins, because they cook faster and are ready made sizes for serving (in one of Rachel Ray's kids cookbooks).
We use her recipe which calls for salsa, worshtershire sauce, ketchup, onions, green peppers (usually not on hand, so leave out), bread crumbs (we sometimes substitute oatmeal), eggs and salt/pepper. Very yummy.

thanks for the recipes, I love the muffin tin idea, do you know how long to cook them for in the tins? I just checked out the all recipes site, wow, that is awesome!

Absolutely, combine the two, many recipes call for that anyway. As for the meatloafs in tins, I would set for 50 mins at 350, but check occasionally as they may finish a little bit early depending on size.

a great mini meat loaf in muffin tins is awsome here is my recipe for one
1.5 lbs of ground beef
1 package of stovetop stuffing( not prepared)
some shredded cheese and some bbq sauce
You mix ground beef and stovetop stuffing and some water till whatever consistency you wish i use between 1/4 of a cup and half a cup
then you fill muffin cups with mixture poke a hole in center and pour bbq sauce in hole then cook at 350 for about 35 minutes then top with shredded cheese and put back in for about 5( till cheese melt).
this is a great recipe as you can custome them to peoples choices
For a big meatloaf
2 lbs of ground meat
1 box of stove top and
1 can of tomato sauce
I mix gound meat and stove top then add tomato sauce until desired consistency( make sure you save a little tomato sauce for topping)
shape into pan then pour reserved tomato sauce and then cook in 350 oven for 1 and a half hours or done
