Mears question

We will be booking a room at Pop Century. When we arrange to be driven from the airport will we automatically get Mears? Is that who Disney uses? I read the horror stories about all the stops Mears makes and would like to be able to go directly to the resort. What do I do to insure that happening?

You get disney magical express run by mears. It can stop up to three resorts I believe. It's free though. You can get a direct shuttle for usually about 25 per person or a cab and go straight there.

I've only gone to WDW twice, both times I was first dropped off, once at WL and once at CBR. Going to another resort or two would add some time, but not a disastrous amount.

We used Magical Express when we stayed at Pop last May and we were the only resort on our bus. It took us straight to Pop.

How many stops the Disney Magical Express bus makes will be directly dependant on who else arrives at the airport at the same time as you.

But I believe the maximum is three or so and it's really not a burden.

I see, I was under the assmption based on a few things I had read that they take forever. Thanks for clearing it up for me.

1) There are four different DME ("MEARS") bus routes.
2) They try to limit the stops at 3-4 per bus.
3) Based upon the number of people at that time, it could even be a 1-resort load.
4) Either way, it is a pleasant ride, so lean back and relax.

NOTE: In the past, there have been many well-founded complaints about MEARS. However, that was years ago, and they have a good reputation for WDW-MCO service for quite a while now. Sure, they might goof once in a while, like anyone, but over all they are very dependable.
