Hi.
My mom is a seasoned Disney traveler but this time she is meeting us in Disney. We will have her luggage.
Although she can walk, she uses a scooter in Disney and I will have scheduled a wheelchair to take her from
the plane gate to, I'm thinking, Mears Connect (we have used Mears, Sunshine Flyer and ME together so she is use to the experience).
I'm thinking this will be easier than having her outside and scheduling an Uber/Lyft. We will be staying at BWVs.

Anyway, has anyone used both the Standard vs. Express in Mears. Is the Express actually worth it because all the times I have used
the new Mears, I have always done Standard and don't remember hearing anyone call out a bus that was Express.

We are going middle of October so getting set to book this shortly.

Thank you.

We have used both standard and express. Express is not worth it, even if you have four people in your party to split the $250 charge. One person would still pay $250.

Express passengers are placed on regular buses or vans along with non-express customers, and have to wait for the vehicle to fill. Then they still have to stop at terminal C before leaving the airport. All express does is makes your party’s resort the first stop once the bus leaves the airport.

For the return trip, express passengers are also placed in communal vehicles with non-express passengers. The express passengers are picked up last before the airport, and if the pickup vehicle is a van, they have to cram into whatever seats remain open.

For the same money as express, you could book a towncar service and maybe even get a grocery pickup if you want.

We only used express once, when a member of our family needed a wheelchair lift and as short a ride as possible. It worked OK in our situation, but I would NOT do it again. There are much better options for the money.

Thank you for your thorough explanation of pros and cons. I so appreciate it and will book the standard for my mom (which is all we have done in past and always has been fine).
