meals n eurostar

i got the tickets for the return on eurostar and have been upgraded to first for free, ,the tickets state the carriage and seats number and tht they are club duo,but it still says standard on them,,does this mean that we wouldnt get the free meal,,just wanted to know so i can stock up before we get on th train with snacks,,

I've never been upgraded for free as I buy 1st, but I'm pretty sure you'll still get the meal. Maybe the standard jsut means standard fare or something.

If you do get the meal it's very filling so you wont need snacks. But if you take some that aren't perishable then they can always stay in your hotel room if you dont eat them.

I really dont think they'd put you in leisure select and then not feed you though. Seems a bit of a kick in the face!

We have also been upgraded for free for our trip at the end of January. I have emailed Eurostar to ask whether we will get the breakfast or not as tickets still say 'Standard'. Will let you know if I hear anything.

i never been on first class before so me and dd are pretty excited, ,i think i will pack snacks just in case and if all ok,they will be fine for the room,,happy trips everone and let us know if eurostar reply to you torsie,

I think you will need the snacks as I have just received the following email from Eurostar re our upgraded seats at the end of January.

"Thank you for your e mail,

Although your seats are assigned in one of our Leisure Select coaches, you will not benefit from the breakfast as you have standard tickets."

awwwwwwww..never mind,,i wll just be glad for the quietness (hopefully)and big comfy seats,,the meal wuld of been a bonus,
