we are going to disney next march/april. I have seen info on ebay for meal vouchers. has anyone used them? where do you obtain them?

also, do DVC members get a discount on park admission? we are new--just bought in this year at VB. We got to see VB in June before hurricanes--it was beautiful and I can't wait to go back.

these boards are full of information. I am so glad I found them.

There are rumors (and I stress rumors) of better park discounts in the future. For the last several years, the only admission discount for DVC members has been 10% off Unlimited Magic Pass (length of stay) passes.

Personally, I haven't used any meal vouchers, except those available directly from Disney at AK. A lot of people seem to see the value in the EBay type vouchers, though.

Get the gist of it from the link above and get prices. Research which meal vouchers might be best for your situation using menus and prices on websites. Then join hotmail.com and buy them there. Don't buy them on eBay.

We buy Quick & Casual vouchers and use them at Beaches N Cream and Pepper Market. Most other places really arent' worth it or just save a dollar or two.

Breakfast vouchers are good for character breakfasts but so-so for others.

And the other vouchers seem to be way more than they are worth.

I joined Hotwire Savings Club and bought a whole bunch of Q & C vouchers to use at Beaches and Cream. We love B & C and we often share a meal with the voucher because the sandwiches and ice cream desserts are so big.

We have done the vouchers also. Definitely a great deal at B&C!!!

But not something I would do for every meal.

You can also check the disboards auctions---a few people list them for close to actual cost.

Good luck!

For us, the meal vouchers are not a good value - too much food. We normally wouldn't eat that much at one time and there are only a few places where you can come out even or better - so that negates any value we might get for sharing meals.

Vouchers do help those who like to "pre-pay" some meal expenses, but there are other ways to do that.

To buy the vouchers, you have to "join" a "discount club and pay a fee to do so. While many join and then cancel after the trial period, there are far, far too many reports of very bad customer service from these places to tempt me. I hate hassles and the prospect of maybe saving a few dollars (see above) just isn't worth taking the chance.
JMHO. YMMV.

Best wishes -
