How accommodating are the park restaurants about splitting meals for kids? For example, if we ordered something off the adult menu and asked for an extra plate, or ordered one drink and asked for an extra cup. How about at the resorts?

I have been wondering the same thing. We are upgrading to the basic meal plan so are the restaurants funny about allowing meal sharing on plans?

You shouldn't have any problems. Adult portions are large enough to split and I'm sure people do it all the time.

Meal sharing is not allowed on the meal deal.

You can't share on the Meal Deal. The resort restaurants are ok with sharing as long as it is not a buffet or anything like that

If your doing the meal deal plan you can not share but if your just ordering a adult meal and want to share it with anyone it's allowed cause me and my wife have done this when we don't want a full meal

Yea basically I've been reading that CS meals are easy to share because just one person orders one meal. We are trying to get as many meals out of our QS meal credits the use our TS meals for sit downs! Thanks!

Hglenn,

Universal doesn't have CS&TS meal deal it is all just CS.

Sharing meals in the US/IOA meal deal is a big No No. They are watching, also sharing the wrist band by sliding it off and back on another kid is a no no also.

As for sharing with out the Meal Deal is fine, they give pretty big portions and my friends and I split something every so often if we get the munches before dinner.

We especially like Louie's we split the slice and salad meal and have them cut the slice for us. That way we both get some salad. (I am the weird one that doesn't like French fries)

We aren't doing the meal deal, so we should have no problems.

Thanks for the info, everyone!

I think you are thinking of the Disney Dining Plan. Universal's meal deal is not anything like the one at Disney. There are no credits. You get a wrist band and can go through the line at only select counter service places as often as you want. The selection of places to eat is very small.

Yeah...that's what I'm thinking too.

And because what you get at Disney are meal credits, there's no problem sharing those. At most of the table service restaurants they will actually split it onto separate plates before bringing it to your table.
