Meal plans??????

Hi, We are so excited to be going to Disney World in about 3 weeks. We've never done the meal plan before but decided to this time. We got concerned however when we found out that we are paying adult $ for our 11 year old and in the park she can still eat kids meals. When I inquired about canceling the plan they said it would cost $50!!! What do you all think,will the plan still be worth it?

Welcome the the DIS!! Personally the freedom the the dining plan affords you in PRICELESS! no need to worry about not finishing or how much the meal will cost or how much $$ to budget for food. I would stick with the plan I think you will still come out ahead!

We have bought the dining plan for our 10 year old. I think it will be a great experience for him to try foods he would have never tried before, and not really worry about the price. I'm also planning on paying cash for a couple of his TS meals and saving the credits toward more TS meals.

We are recently back from Disney on May 22, and I have 2 daughters who are 9 & 11 and we did use the plan. I can not say how much we enjoyed it! My 11 year old is very picky and the plan still worked out wonderfully. If by some chance we were at a restaurant where there was nothing on the adult menu that she liked than we ordered a kids meal and would just substuite a appatizer for a salad for her... For us the meal that stressed us out the most was the princess dinner at Norway,,, My daughters did not like their food at all... Our most favorite place to eat was Planet Hollywood and H&V at MGM...If I can be of some help, just let me know.. I am still adding up my receipts to do a review.. I am in Disney Depress right now.. I want to go back
