On our next visit, my wife and I are going to take a break from the kids for 1 night and have a nice romantic(ish) dinner.

I am looking for suggestions of where we can go. We are staying just off 192 near Formosa Gardens. We would prefer somewhere in Disney as we can go and walk round Disney Boardwalk afterwards. We are happy though to have our meal out of Disney and travel in by car

We don't like seafood a great deal, so seafood only (or mainly) restaurants are not an option really

Many Thanks

The last time we were in Disney, we went down to the Ming Court. I know it's not Disney but it's on I-Drive and we really enjoyed it after a dreadful experience in Epcot's Chinese Restaurant. The Ming Court was just fabulous. If we didn't have the kids next year we'd go back for a romantic time.

If you fancy the Boardwalk then you can really pick any of the Epcot restaurants - Le Cellier is very nice and cosy, also one of the French restaurants - Bistro de Paris or Chef de France.

You could also go for the Yachtsman's Steakhouse in the Yacht Club.

Here is a link to the Boardwalk area. You can look at the menus to see what might appeal to you. Don't eliminate the Flying Fish just because of it's name! It's one of the top restaurants on the WDW property and they serve much more than seafood. Spoodles is lovely as well. After dinner, you could watch some of the Illuminations fireworks from the Boardwalk or have a cocktail and a laugh at Jellyrolls.

Another romantic option would be dinner at one of the monorail resort restaurants and watching Wishes from across the lagoon. :lovestruc

Seconded - we've been there twice and it's a great restaurant.
