And a question for my bevey of experts!!

We originally wanted the chef's domain at Citricos for our wedding meal, but we may now have more than 12 people attending, so I'm thinking about other options.

I love the look of both menus at these restaurants, but which one do you think would be more able to either seat up to 20 people at one table, or have everyone at tables next to each other if you know what i mean?

As it's such a small wedding I want to keep everyone together!

TIA xxx :cutie:

Hi sweetie
All I can say is that we had our reception meal (following our VR in May) at Citrico's and it was perfect!!!! There were 14 of us in total, and we were all sat together at a 'keyhole shaped' table. The food was delicious and the service outstanding!! They really bent over backwards to make us feel so special!! We had our floral transferred from the ceremony to our tables at the restaurant, so our colours were continued, and the restaurant were great about us laying out place cards and favours for our guests. We dropped the favours off at the restaurant the day before the VR, and whilst we were having cocktails at Mizner's, my daughter went through to our table and laid out the favours etc. The restaurant staff would have done it for us, but I knew where I wanted people to sit, and so thought my daughter doing it was the easiest option. All the cast were extremely accommodating and friendly.
I contacted the manager of Citrico's (who was the wonderful Adrianna, at the time) via e-mail, and communicated with her throughout the planning process. She was always quick to answer any questions and even made our reservation for us when the window opened up.
In short, I couldn't have been happier with our choice, and the entrance to the restaurant makes for pretty pictures too!!

Wow what an amazing review, thank you so much!

Do you happen to have a picture of the table by any chance? No worries if you don't, just thought i'd give it a try ;)

You were an stunning bride by the way, gorgeous!!!

Another Citricos vote here!! We also had our reception dinner there and it was just as amazing as described above :goodvibes I have a more detailed review of our experience in my PJ in my signature. We had 18 people, and we all sat together in the key hole shaped table near the back of the restaurant, so it was a little more private than being smack in the middle. We sat at the circle end of the table with our parents around us. It was so much fun because we could still easily talk with everyone and we ended up getting up from the table by the end of the night to talk and hang out. Here's some photos (and the ahhhmazing Citricos staff set everything up for us!!):

Plus, being directly in the GF gave us a wonderful opportunity for photos there. Some of our favorites are from right before our reception dinner!

Ooooh my goodness how perfect is that! Did Citricos do the personalised menu for you or did you do them yourselves? The flower place names are beautiful... i can't get over how perfect that table is!

I might have swung my decision!! xx

Citricos gets my vote too — it's just a bigger restaurant. Narcoossee's is laid out like a hall, with tables of four all lined up in two rows divided by a narrow aisle. There is a small, circular seating area on the upper level, and I know that past Escape brides have had them push tables together up there with no problem. But Citricos has more space and tables to work with.

Thanks Carrie

You don't happen to know if we can order off the standard menu or is there a group menu for parties over a certain size?

We made those menus ourselves and brought everything (place cards, the menus, and a seating chart) to Citricos the day before the wedding. They set up everything for us the day of, it was awesome, we didn't have to do a thing which was great because we were an Escape wedding so we didn't have a planner for the dinner part...we had to take care of that ourselves. They will provide personalized menus with your names, if you choose not to bring your own. We had a theme that we wanted to keep with, which is why we just made our own. :)

Citricos also has a group menu which is tiered depending on how much you want to spend. When we had our dinner there, the lowest price was $70/person and went up from there. The $70/person meal was a four or five course meal (I can't remember), and each course had 3 or 4 options for our guests to choose from. We were even able to make substitutions which was really nice - they were very willing to do whatever we wanted. The Chef even contact us about making a special vegetarian meal for mother and I and to make sure that I would love (and I did!).

Also, as something to think about, Citricos and Mizner's Lounge (right next door) have the same manager, or at least they did when we were planning. So it was really easy to host a cocktail hour at Mizner's while my husband and I took photos around the GF, then have everyone move over to Citricos when we were done. The bill was easy, too, because again...they have the same manager. HTH! :goodvibes

This is all excellent news, thank you so much for all the information!

How soon after confirming your date did you contact Citricos and start planning with them?

How did you work the bill at the end of the night? Obviously we will be paying, but I don't want either me or DF to have to worry about it too much on the night - can we give them our KTTW or credit card before hand and have them charge accordingly at the end?

Citrico's is very flexible as regards the bill. Some of our guests were on the DDP, and they kindly said that they were happy to use some of their credits to pay for their meal (to help us out financially). So our bill was settled in a very strange way - some DDP, and DH and I paying for any appetizers, anybody not on the DDP and all the drinks!!! Citrico's handled it beautifully, no hassle at all!! They just brought DH the final bill and he paid it. We even took away a bottle of wine which was ordered and never drunk!!
I was hoping to do menus (as Wendy did) but time got away from me and I never got them done. The menus from Citrico's were personalized for us anyway and had 'Congratualtions on your Happily Ever After' and a picture of Cinderella and Prince Charming on them.
Unfortunately, I do not have a photo of our table before we all sat down at it and messed it up!!! Randy had gone by this stage (his last shots were the ones by the gates above), and nobody thought to take a photo of the table all set up :sad2:. I wish I had asked Randy to snap a couple, but I just didn't think!!! Our table was, however, just the same as Wendy's (only, obviously, with our floral, favours, place-cards etc).
I really recommend Citrico's - we adored it and it is still the part of the whole day that DH talks about most (food and drink - typical man right? ;))

Thanks hun, your cementing my decision with your every reply! I guess I just didn't want the bill paid in front of our guests - I might set up with Citricos to go with DF to the bar and pay it there or something like that - We are lucky enough to be able to pay for the meal ourselves, and I don't want any of our guests to jump on the band wagon and either pay it for us or put towards it... that may sound weird but I have visions of a $2000 bill being paid by one of our guests... I have one in mind in particular so I don't want him to get his hands on it :rotfl:

We also didn't want the bill in front of guests. Since my parents were paying for it, the manager or a waiter (can't remember which because I wasn't paying attention!) pulled my dad aside and he was able to take care of it away from the table. I'm sure you could give them a card prior to the dinner, too. That's actually a great idea and you can discuss all of those things with the manager when you contact them.

We started planning with Citricos shortly after getting our date. We just made a large party reservation and then we were in contact with the managers directly after that.

I agree with going with Citricos. DH and I had an anniversary dinner there and everything was really wonderful. They gave us a personalized menu, champagne toast and a surprise dessert. They really make you feel like royalty there and the food is amazing. We also had drinks in mintzers lounge before, it was wonderful and they had a live band playing just outisde the door. It was the best night we've ever had in WDW!

Wow I just read your vendor reviews for Citricos and I'm blown away! Going to show it to DF tonight and get him to read it - I'm thinking that even if we end up with 12 guests we might just eat in the restaurant instead of Chef's Domain - thank you so much for sharing your experience with me x
