ME to GF - Time estimate???

Help please! We arrive at MCO at 10:30 on a Thursday. How long should I guesstimate for arrival at Grand Floridian Resort?? I'd like to make a lunch and dinner reservation for the day we arrive, but have no idea how to guess what time I should book for lunch - which would then affect the time for dinner!

Can anyone give me a rough estimate? Should I allow 2 hours from airport to Resort? More or less?? Ugh!!

This is a short trip, and mom wants to try a few new restaurants so I'm trying to do my best with the reservations.....

Two hours is probably a safe bet. You must allow time to get through the airport to ME. The drive to the parks is less than 30 minutes. However, the question marks in the equation come to whether your plane is on time and how long you have to wait for the ME bus. I have had short and long waits for ME busses. Good luck and enjoy some new foods.

I wouldn't do a lunch and dinner table service meal on the same day. You should be OK with making a dinner reservation on your arrival day, but I wouldn't try to do a lunch one.

If your flight arrives, onetime, at 10:30, you should be at the GF by noon. Then you have to get checked in, and maybe be able to go to your room. So, now it's about 1:00. I never make an ADR within 3 hrs of are arrival time....too many chances for something to go wrong. You could always try to book a late lunch and a late dinner. But I really wouldn't book anything until 4:00 at least.

On May 18, my flight landed around 2:25, I was at GF around 3:50. We were the first stop on Magical Express.

I would give the GF Cafe a shot. You can probably get in without an ADR..it's lovely and the food is good.

Could also monorail over to the CR or the Poly for a a QS meal. You get a Dole Whip at the Poly.

Both great ideas! But that means another excruciating decision!! UGH!! lol It's a short trip - and all of the decisions that need to be made are making me crazy!!

Can't I just **BE** there already!! lol
