Sorry if this has been answered somewhere else, but what is the process of checking out/boarding the ME if you do not use the RAC on the way home (we are flying SW). We have our vouchers so do they just scan these and we get on the bus?

exactly. the day before you check out, you'll get your ME departing info on your door - you'll also be given a phone number to call and pay for any checked luggage. you must call that number and pay for checked luggage in advance, if not - they wont take your bags!

but the info the give you on your hotel room door is what you'll need to board the ME back to the airport. Just dont miss it!!

Since you are flying SW, you will not have to pay for baggage. Also, the concierge desk at your resort, or any guest services in the parks or at DTD can check you in at the 24 hour mark and print your passes.

An envelope will show up in your room the night before you leave, giving you the time your ME bus will depart (about three hours before your domestic flight; four hours for international flights). Be there 15 minutes before the bus leaves.

You will need to show that information to get on the bus.

You will bring your luggage to the bus, and the bus driver will stow it under the bus for you - and he will take it out at the curb at the airport - you should tip for this service. It is about one dollar per bag.

Yes.

RAC and DME are two completely unrelated services. The RAC desk does not function as a DME desk. The people working the RAC desk have nothing to do with the buses ... they're not even Disney cast members.
