Early entry at MK - 6/29. It really pays to get up and hit the park early this day. We voted to ride Buzz first. And we also rode it second - absolutely no line! Slide on over to Space Mtn. where the wait was maybe 10 minutes. Picked up fast pass for Pooh which had a stand by wait of about 25 minutes. Over to Frontierland for Big Thunder Mtn. w/ no line and then over to Splash Mtn. where we waited maybe 5 minutes. Love, love, love getting there early. Rode Snow White then Pooh. Ate ice cream - and am amazed that it's just 11am. Double great is that the weather is overcast so the sun is not beating down on my head.
Rode a great deal w/ very little wait this day. Lunch at Columbia Harbor House was tasty and not your average counter food. Enjoyed clam chowder in a bread bowl and my sister had the chicken salad. The seating upstairs was plentiful, they even had sections roped off b/c no one was using them.
We went back to WL to swim and rest before Epcot for Illuminations. Suddenly a huge storm came up w/ thunder and lightening and the whole shebang. It was actually nice to watch the storm from our covered balcony at WL. Things looked pretty dismal for Epcot that night. We decided to go hunt hidden Mickeys in WL and see what would happen. Following our clue sheet from the desk we find some (indoor) hidden Mickeys and watch the rain slow up. We decide to head to Epcot w/ ponchos. The park is EMPTY. There were more vacant cars entering Spaceship Earth than occupied ones. I'm beginning to wish we braved the rain earlier. We actually got a great spot in Germany to view Illuminations 10 minutes before it started. Only drawback is that we didn't get around to eating dinner. We fed my niece pizza when we first got to Epcot thinking we would eat in the countries. Oh well - I'm hungry, but at least I'm at Disney World!
