ME-Let me verify this...

Ok, I'm sure all the ME questions get old and you'd think we'd all be able to figure it out by now...but we can't...maybe I'm just slow...ANYWAY:

This is about going back to the airport at the end of vacation. We are flying TED, a participating airline. I do understand that from 12 - 3 hours PRIOR to our flight that we can check in at the resort for our flight. And from the sticky I read on this board-- can we also check in our luggage? Then do WE put the luggage on the bus and have to take it whereever at the airport? Or when we check it at the desk it is then taken to the airport on the bus and the skycaps check it in without us?

Basically I want to know if at any point, other than getting our luggage down to the front desk, will we have to handle our luggage. I.E. carrying it, checking it at the airport..etc.

Nope.. Since TED is participating you only have to get your luggage to the ME Desk at your resort and you won't have to worry about it until it's time to pick it up when you land

And it's better to ask questions now, so your vacation can be as stress free as possible. Thats what these boards are for

Yep that's the way it is Such a wonderful way to enjoy ones vacation . Check Bags get your boarding pass now if they could find a way to avoid the hassle at security that would be heaven.

Lets give you a 'for instance' here....you have a homeward bound flight at 3:00 pm. So, you get up, get all packed. Then, all of you head for the checkin desk (spots vary by resort), show your IDs. They'll take all your luggage, tag it (just like at the airport checkin counter), you will be given boarding passes. They will tell you a time to get back to the bus. You're done.
Go back to your room, get some breakfast..whatever. Go about your day. You can leave any carryon bags you may have with the resort bell services people. If your flight is at 3:00, you'll be picked up around noon, so be there by 11:40ish. You need to leave a little extra time to retreive your carryons from bell services....about 15-20 mins. Hop on the bus, head back to the airport, go directly to security line. Easy peasy.
