ME for person not on reservation

Has anyone had experience w/bringing someone not on the Disney reservation with you on ME? My son is staying w/friends once we get there, but needs to go w/us on ME. Will that be a problem?

He'd need to be on *some* Disney resort reservation to use ME, as far as I know. But, he can buy a transfer from Mears, and might even be on the same bus.

It won't work. He won't be on the ME reseravation and will not be allowed on the bus.

He can go to the Mears counter, which is near the ME counter. He can pay for a transfer to the resort.

They may elect to place him on an ME bus if there is room, or put him on a Mears bus. Either way, he will get there.

If your son is a minor, then to make sure he does ride on the DME with at least one adult, give your son the DME ticket for another male in your party, and have the adult male purchase the Mears ticket. That way if they do decide that a separate Mears bus is available, then the adult male rides the Mears and your son is on the DME with the adult.
