ME for cruise?

If we do not book a land/sea package, but book our own DVC nights on either end of our cruise, will ME take us to/from the port?

Yes it is 69 dollars round trip per person and you have to book it in advance through MS or DCL. We do it every year.

Technically, it is not ME. DCL offers transportation for $35 per person each way. DCL will also transport your luggage for you and pick it up from your resort room.

I don't believe that DCL will pick up luggage from the room unless you have booked a land/sea package. Also, DCL only offers transport from certain resorts, so the OP needs to confirm that they are staying at a resort from which DCL transfers are offered. The Cruise board may be a better place to get a a complete answer to this question.

This is not the case. If you purchase DCL transfers, you will have your luggage picked up from your resort room, regardless if you have booked a land/sea package or not.

Also, as of this year, DCL picks up from all WDW resorts, even values.
