ME Bus Windows? - Tinted?

DD has motion sickness issues, especially in buses that have the graphic "skins" over the windows. Do ME buses have plain, transparent tinted windows or are they covered? Not only does DD need to "see" through the windows, she prefers front of bus seating. I really want to use ME rather than rent a car at MCO...

A few of the buses do have the graphic wrappers now, but most do not. The first time I actually saw or rode one with a wrapper was on our way back to MCO on our last trip. Other than that, we've been on dedicated DME buses, DCL buses and yellow Mears buses for DME trips and have never had one with a wrapper before. Whether that means they are going to be wrapping more buses for DME or not I couldn't say.

All the windows are tinted (It's Florida!)

DME also uses DCL buses, which have wrappers that turn the normal rectangular windows into round "porthole" windows. So you can see through part of the windows clearly and other parts are 50% opaque where the wrapper is.

Just to be clear, I'm talking about having ridden on a DME bus with a full graphic wrapping that completely covered all of the windows. Looking out presented a very dim view of the surrounding area and you really were looking out through a bunch of tiny round holes in the wrapper.

Many thanks for the replies! The tiny holes of the wrapper causes the greatest issues for her. The probability looks pretty good for regular tinted bus windows.

As inconvenient as it may sound, if you get to MCO and the bus that pulls up has graphics on the windows you could wait for the next one (they come fairly frequently and you do not need to be on a specific bus).

However return is a different subject as you need to board the bus you are scheduled to be on.

Thanks for that option. After a 5 hour flight and then ME, our plan is to go to DTD by boat! Not that I'm trying to do her in...but Disney transportation is our plan for right now.

Are you worried about the buses at WDW?

I'm not sure if all of them have the wrapping on them, but quite a few do. Would this affect your DD? I suffer from motion sickness too, so I know how horrible it can be at times.

Yes, specifically the shuttle from the airport to the resorts. If they are wrapped such as the bus in the pic, she may definitely have a problem unless some nice person allows her to sit in the very front.

But the bus in that picture is a resort-park type of bus, not an airport bus.

Right. But I think some of us are wondering how the OP's child will do on the park busses that have the wrapper as shown.

I am a little confused - I know this started out as an ME bus thread but I just want to say when I was at Disney at the beginning of the year not all of the Disney buses had the balloon wrapper. I just got back this morning and last week every single resort/theme park bus I saw had the balloon wrapper.

I agree. It wasn't clear from her response that she understood that the bus in the picture was a resort bus and not a DME bus, however. It sounds like many of the buses--DME and resort--could be a problem for her DD.
