ME and last minute resort change

ME newbie here....

We decided very last minute to switch from POR to WL. Our luggage tags say POR but was told on phone to cross out and write WL just don't mess up bar code. No problem.

I'm looking through the ME booklet and transportation voucher tickets with each of our names on them all say POR. Will it be a problem for our return to the airport? Do I need to call ME to notify them of this change or does that happen automatically?

We don't want any delays on our return to MCO.

As long as your ressie number is the same, the system will track your bags and send them to your new resort.

It happened to me last year when we switched to SSR for the 4/3 deal.

the day before you leave you should get the unmagical envelope on your door that has your bus info home. If you dont see this you need to alert disney so they can be sure to get you picked up on time at your changed resort.

and yes if you just cross the POR off and add your wL your baggage should make it fine. we have many changes on our last trip and Disney got them all right

Do you have to show the coupons in the book to the bus driver? I'm just worried that they'll question why we're at WL and our coupons say POR?

Our same flight info/pick up time will be on our door tag?

wont matter what your coupon book says it will get you on the bus and you will also have your unmagical express letter they give you when you check out

and it wont matter from airport to hotel..just make sure you get on the right bus

I always call my kids and pets silly names and often make up silly little songs to go with it

I used the screen name pickles as I just wanted something simple and generic..pickles was the best i could come up with

Actually, that's the SMART move, even if the Cast Members at the podium tell you you don't need to. Insist, politely. Explain your resort has changed since your DME packet was recieved, and you want to take care of all and any corrections now.

You could wait until morning of the day before checkout to arrange or re-arrange your DME trip back to the airport. Which you would need to do anyway if you did not get the DME confirmation with the correct info at your room door.

Usually, the welcoming area CM's will catch it and set it up properly if you were not directed to skip them and report directly to the bus boarding area.

I didn't want to change resorts just for this reason. It causes errors when it's not really their 'fault'. I've always wanted to stay at WL and when I 1st looked, the only availability was more expensive views and finally found a cheaper view, making it not much more than POR.

Once we get to MCO we're renting a car to drive to PC for a cruise. I wonder if it might be better just having Happy Limo drive us to PC from WL.
Would be more expensive though. I'll have to check it out.

Could you explain that more clearly, please? It looks like you're renting a car to get from MCO to WL, then doing what witht the car? Then you need to get to Pop Century from WL, to get the Disney Cruise Line bus to the port? Yeah, there's gotta be an easier way.

We're staying at WL 2 nts pre cruise. On cruise day, we're taking ME to MCO and picking up a rental car to drive to PC for a one way rental.

Sorry I didn't explain better. I'm just saying we don't need to catch a flight when we take ME back to MCO.
