Have booked for August 2015 at SSR and booking is now showing on MDE with option to customise magic bands!! I know it's over a year away but just had to share - excited

If you're anything like me you'll be in and out changing the colour...one day I like red the next I like orange...Last year I had lime green and really like that one. Most females had pink and most males had blue but I didn't actually like them, too wishy washy.

Used the 6 digit ref number, booked with wdtc I can see me changing colours with my mood lol!! Not sure how I'm going to last till next August as too excited lol

Do you also have 2 trips booked simultaneously? Some of us who have experienced the not so magical side of MDE have opted not to try link our second reservation just yet. I trust MDE about as far as I can spit it

Just an FYI, but magic bands are a great weapon to use in arguments...

I customised my DH a lovely pink one with a derogatory word under it, whilst I obviously didn't save my creative choices I did send him a screen shot of what he would have to wear the whole trip if he didn't do those jobs he's been promising to do every weekend for months

Yes and this. I'm getting May (this month!) dealt with before I confuse the hunk of clunk that is MDE

Yeah I have 2 trips booked, one next April and one next August, only about 123 days between them or so. The one in April I won't be booking any ADRs and stuff for though because we are going for the cheerleading world championships and will probably be spending most time at WWoS. But we can link one to another MDE account and keep it separate as big group travelling so hopefully we wont overwhelm the system which sounds like it's an easy thing to do!

But we can link one to another MDE account and keep it separate as big group travelling so hopefully we wont overwhelm the system which sounds like it's an easy thing to do!

I have had up to 3 reservations on MDE however I only ever have one package with tickets on there. I am not linking next August's package until we get back this year.

I like to keep mine on the same MDE so I can use my existing magic bands as I am working towards getting all the colours then I can match them to my outfit

So I just got off the phone with Disney re linking booking with MDE, and apparently all of you who have already linked your booking successfully are either liars or delusional according to the lovely lady I spoke with. She said that the absolute limit is 200 days out from your arrival date and that it is simply not possible to link before then!

Can you all scream for me as I don't think my lungs are up to the job?

I know I can't exactly do anything with it yet, but I want to!!!!!

This message has been given out by some CM's since the online ADR system was launched (being the first time the conflicting format of reservation numbers became a compatibility issue). Yet, many of us successfully got our 12 digit reference within a couple of days of booking while others were fed the same line. It's hard to tell if it has actually changed or if it's just the same old story, but it is very frustrating when you call 5 times and get 5 different answers.

You're probably right, when will companies learn that their official lines mean nothing when facts contradict them - better to say that it's not supposed to link until 200 days but that some people will get lucky.

She also said UK customers don't have access to the 12 digit number! Strange that, I could get it when I booked with Complete Orlando last time, but this time I book direct and it's not possible. Give me strength.

I don't know if I'm just really lucky but I have never (knock on wood) had an issue getting the number just asking for it.

I do agree that it depends who you speak to though. Knock back that drink and go for it. Not sure if their lines are still open though so you may need to call in the morning.
