MDE login problems

Hi all,
I booked for September next year with UK Disney over the phone on 22 July and was told I could log in to MDE after around 72 hours. When this hadn't happened I called again and was told it would take around a week to recognise my booking. I left it for a few weeks and tried again but still couldn't get in so called again. I was then told it was due to us having an accessible room so it would take until September to show up.

I've left it until this weekend and when I still couldn't log in I called the US help desk and a lovely man spoke to the UK team, who hadn't put my booking onto the system yet, and said it would be active within a few hours but to leave it until this morning to be sure.

Guess what?? It's still not letting me log in. I emailed the Disney customer help people and got an email back tonight saying they can't access the MDE system so I have to call again. Great.

Anyone else had similar issues?? My booking reference number is an 8 digit number like this: 1610xxxx and I use my email address and mobile number without the first 0 to login in.

reading your post raised a question

you say "log in to mde", are you trying to "log in" onto the MDE website, or are you trying to link your reservation once you're logged in to MDE ?

if you're trying to log in, you need to set up your own MDX account, and then you'll be able to link your reservation (link existing reservation)

if you're already registered and logged in, then you do not need your email adress and phone number to link your reservation

you only get to the screen requesting these info because your reservation number was not recognized on the "link" screen

you only need 2 things : your booking reference and your surname, if it doesn't link there, don't bother entering your resort/check in date/phone and email

some reservations take more time than others. Some DVC resorts reservation only link 10 months out
 
Hi, sorry yes I'm registered on the Disney site and it's the link to reservation that's not working. It bumps me to the resort/date/phone number screen every time.

What's really frustrating is the info I'm getting when I call is different every time, and not one of the operators has said it might only link at the ten month mark. They seem to have trouble finding my booking each time also but say as long as I have the invoice via email then I'm definitely booked. :sad1:
 
I had exactly the same problem...along with a few others on here.

When I called the UK number that pops up on the screen they told me that my reservation hadn't been put on the system yet ( I was roughly 18 months away from travel so slightly different from your situation ). I tried calling a few different numbers inc Virgin ( who I booked with ) and they all told me different info.

In the end They told me to try on a certain date but me being impatient I tried every day then one day it linked. I was jumping with joy :jumping1:.

All I would say is just to keep trying and one day it will work without you having to input your resort info and phone number.

I understand how frustrating it is :headache:
 

Thanks guys, at least I know it's not just my booking that's playing up! :rolleyes:
 
I had this issue and called The Disney Travel Company, was simply because the UK res numbers occasionally do not patch up to MDE. The CM gave me a different reservation number and it let me log in literally right away, she even waited on the phone with me to make sure it worked.
