I have our upcoming trip showing up in my MDE account. However, my wife created an account in her name but can't link the reservation because it is already linked to her account. Does this mean only I will have access to the fast pass system at our 60 day point? I've read a lot of the threads on fast pass plus but I'm still confused. Also, if I link other people to my MDE will I have access to their reservations so I can make their fast pass reservations? What am I missing?

All the guests who will be in your resort room need to be added in the "Family and Friends" section of your Profile. Your wife doesn't need an MDE account as she is part of your reservation.

You can book her FPs or, if you trust her with your ID and password, let her access the account and book her own FPs.

A resort reservation can only be attached/linked to one MDE account. Each person in your account can have whichever FPs they want. You can select them for them or have them select them.

Thanks for all the info! I'm probably stressing too much over this, but I want to make sure I know what I'm doing when the booking window opens. So, if I send my sister a friend request and she links to my account, she would still have to make her own fast pass reservations since her room reservation is separate from mine?

Once linked, you will be able to control the FP selections for everyone in your reunion group.

Search on YouTube for Fastpass tutorials. You'll be able to watch the step-by-step FP selection process. Good luck!
