MCO: where to pick up guests arriving on SWA?

Hello,

On the spur of the moment, my inlaws are joining us this year (just kidding!)

I need to pick them up at MCO. They are flying SWA from Islip.

What is the best place to meet up with them?

Also, they do not have internet and will not be able to check in prior to arriving at the airport. Will that be ok?

You can check them in. Then, when they get to the airport they can just print out their conf. All you'll need are their conf #s.
When you pick them up I assume you'll be parking and going inside. So, you could either meet them in level 3, the main level, or down at baggage claim, on level 2. That might be easier. Be sure that you're on the correct side of the airport. SW arrives on Side A.

No, they don't. They will get their 'section' assignment when they get there and get checked in. The earlier they get to the airport the better if they want a good choice of seats. But, with that in mind, there are always those in the A group that join the end of the A boarding and have no issues at all. Those in the B group alwasy seem to find two seats together, but further back in the plane. So....no they don't have to checkin before getting there. It's just those of us who seem to 'have to have' those A boarding passe!!!

I am happy to do that, but they are pretty clueless*, and I think they would go to the counter and get in line anyway. but I'll do it.

*How clueless? Guess how they tried to buy air tix? They drove to the airport and went counter to counter for prices! I love em to death, but I'm not sure how they function in the 21st century!!

This may be an easy way to pick them up if they are carrying a cell phone. Go to the cell phone parking lot and wait for them to call you. They should call you when they have a porter take them outside level 2 for pick up. When they call and tell you they have their luggage, you pull out of the cell phone parking area and go to A side, level 2 or arriving level. Go all the way to the end of the drive and they should be waiting out there. You load and head out with them. I think there is a time limit on cell phone parking of 40 minutes.
