MCO To Port Canaveral

We are taking a carnival cruise in June. We will need to get from Orlando Int. to the port. We are a family of 6 (2 adults, 4 kids). The carnival bus is too expensive $35 per person. I know there are other private shuttle companies. Can anyone recommend one for us? We'd just like a van to take the six of us over to the port. I appreciate it!

With six people a van is going to be a better deal and is more convenient than the cruise line shuttle. A one-way van trip will run about $150 plus tip (compared to $210 for the one-way Carnival transportation) and a round trip about $250.

For a family of 7 we paid $135 (from MCO to the port) and ...i think ...$165 to our hotel in Disney (after the cruise). The company we used - Orlando Star Trans. I don't get it.. why cruise line shuttles charge so much ????

the cruise boards have places to use as well. We got one of those shuttles and they fit our whole group and it was way cheaper.

Thanks to everyone....I ended up booking a luxury van (holds up to 8 passengers) with Mears for $120....Driver will meet us right down the escalator from luggage claim....can't beat it!

Because it is a profit center for them...just like shore excursions.

I've had good luck with Mears private transport for my cruise clients too. Very good rates and always reliable.
