Ok I have a plan but don't know if it will work.
Dh, my parents and I were supposed to go to WDW and stay at AKL last December but dad got sick and we couldn't go. So we are planning a sort of do over and planning on cruising on DCL Decemebr of 2010 but I want to try to give Dad a small taste of WDW by staying at AKL the night before the cruise.
So here is my question can we get from AKL to the port using the DCL transfers? I know we can do MCO to AKL using ME but not sure if we can get from AKL to port because we are not doing a land and sea cruise, just staying the night before our 7 nighter. So what can I do to make this happen?
Thanks in advance!

I don't know if DCL picks up at AKL but what you could do is take ME to AKL on the arrival and make up a flight leaving the next day. and go back to MCO on ME and get the DCL transportation there on the day your crusie leave. You would have to coordinate the timing but that should be easy.

Thanks for the tip, that should work but sounds like a bit of trouble for early in the morning maybe we will just stick the the MCO Hyatt.

How many are in your group. You know DCL transfers round trip from MCO to the port run $69.00. per person. It may be much better on your folks and you if you find a car service for around $180.00. DCL for three runs $207.00 and you do a lot of waiting around. Car service is direct and no waiting both ways. You might be able to find a deal suitable where Car service picks you up at WDW to the port and than returns you to MCO. Don't get wrapped up in trying to use the free transportation or the cruise line transportation as you may miss some better deals.

It looks like the OP will be a party of 4 adults. Using a car service to go from AKL to the port and from the port to MCO will probably be cheaper then using DCL transfers, maybe a couple of dollars more with a tip.

Four people I'd go with a car service even if DCL picked up from my hotel.

Try FL Tours, Tiffany, MurrayHill Transportation, Southern Elegance or even give Edd a pm if you want to book directly with an independent driver. You may need a van or SUV, I'm not sure if a towncar will be big enough for 4 adults with luggage.

I'd probably be "cheap" and use DME to go from MCO to AKL.

Thanks for the ideas guys, I hadn't even considered a town car because I just assumed it would be more expensive. I know we will use a limo to get to and from the airport at home but we live in Vegas which is the land of cheap limos, I think when we did it for a previous vacation it was like $150 round trip with tip. Anyway I will definately look into a car service.
