Every other time I've booked a rental car the prices have fluctuated daily and I've always found a better rate. I booked a mid sized with Alamo from Oct 9-13 and am paying $134 taxes in with Costco code/coupon and the rates have not moved an inch since I booked on March 31st. What's going on?? Can't seem to find any better prices anywhere for this trip...... I don't think I've ever paid more then $100 for a full week before..... this isn't even a full week!!

Any suggestions?? Am I just too early??

Car rental prices have gone way up in the past year. I was used to paying $100-$120 for a week, last December (first week) I paid close to $200. The price did not budge like it usually does closer to the date.
