We have a 5:00 pm flight on the day we disembark and I read about the day rates at the Hyatt MCO. I was thinking that they were something that was always available but I called and she said it wasn't being offered that day. We were just looking for somewhere to relax for a few hours instead of waiting at the terminal. Do any of the other airport hotels offer something like this?
Thanks so much for any info...

Look into airline lounges at MCO. I know they are a few, like United, but not sure of all the airlines or the locations. They usually have day pass rates.

Did you call the hotel direct or the 800 number for Hyatt? The 800 operators don't always know what is offered so when you call the hotel direct you get a completely different response.
Try calling direct.

I called the hotel direct for a day rate room after our cruise this past February. It was a great way to relax and pass the time before our evening flights. We grabbed food from the food court and took it up to the room to eat before we went through security for our flights.

I tried walking up when we returned to the airport and were told they didn't have any available. I called the 800 number while sitting 50 feet from the check-in desk, booked a room and walked right back over to the same woman and checked-in. Ridiculous how some companies work like that.

The cost last year was $100. It was one of the best $100 we spent. If I am not mistaken we got back to the airport around 9ish and our flight wasn't until around 6 pm. We went straight to the Hyatt not thinking we would be able to get a room until after 11 or 12 (or even if one was available), but they had one available right then. We were able to use their pool and my grandson was able to take a nap. I used this time to rearrange my suitcase since we were in a hurry to get them out in the hallway the night before we got off the ship. The airlines will not let you drop off your luggage until so many hours before your flight. I also ran down and picked up lunch in the food court and brought it back to the room. It was nice to take a shower and freshen up before our flight. The year before that we sat around in the airport and people watched with then a 2 1/2 yr old. I spent more than $100 trying to entertain him in the Disney stores. I plan to get another room this year as well, but I am going to try to book it before we leave out for our cruise to make sure we get one.

We booked it about a month out from our cruise, so 5 weeks before we needed it. $119 for the four of us, but we have several hours before our flight and it was a pretty boring wait last time (and was only half the time). Looking forward to relaxing after the cruise!
