MCO Hyatt and Ground Transfers

Two rooms at the Hyatt? Yes, with 5 people the Hyatt doesn't have rooms that hold that number (at least that's what I've been told). There are some WDW resorts that rooms for 5, however.

thanks princessshmoo, we are splurging on 5 nights BC deluxe room CL after the cruise, I need to keep my pre cruise night as cheap as possible. I will keep my Hyatt reservation that I made myself with 2 queen beds, I was also given a good price to switch to an executive king with a queen pullout and a rollaway. I was inquiring about making the ressie through DCL for the better PAT. no biggie.

what a bummer, I have a family of 5 and dcl told me I have to reserve two rooms if I reserve through them. not going to save any money there.

i was traveling with party of 5 and was able to get a Jr. Suite at the Hyatt, so only one room was needed.... my neice decided to join us, so now with party of 6, we have two rooms..

Usually, if DCL books the room for you, you don't have to select a Port Arrival Time. That's about it.

Since the terminal doesn't open until 10:30, and it takes about a hour from MCO to port, 9:30 would get you there by that time.

You can arrive after your PAT with no problem. Arriving before your PAT, via DCL transfers, you will be allowed to enter the terminal, regardless of what time it is. BUT your boarding number that you get at check in is tied to your PAT.

PAT is the window that you plan to arrive at the port. But it's really a "no earlier than" time, not a hard window that you MUST arrive during.

I am booked at Hyatt through direct booking from the hotel site, so I take it that means I have to select a PAT? I was hoping I can hop of the DCL bus early to get to terminal for earlier boarding, but sounds like this is only avil if I had booked Hyatt with Disney? TIA

You can catch the DCL transfer bus at any time. If you arrive at the port via DCL transfers, you will gain entry to the terminal, regardless of what your actual Port Arrival Time is. However, your actual boarding number you get when you check in at the port will be tied to the PAT you selected, regardless of when you actually check in.

That is, you will receive the same boarding number if you check in 1/2 hour earlier, or 3 hours later than your PAT.

I am sure everyone knows this but just to clarify, the DCL bus does cost money. It is not complimentary like Magical Express. It is $35 pp each way. It does not matter where you stay or if you booked with DCL or directly with a hotel. To use the DCL bus is $35 pp.
