MCO Car Rental - 2/26/15 Through 3/5/15 Bonkers.... Why?

We are looking at visiting 02/26/15 - 03/05/15 and renting a care from MCO.

The out the door rates for even small cars from reputable places are $450 for this time period. Anybody know why?

On a side note, looks like flights are selling out too, is this time particularly bonkers for some reason?

Could be the end of winter break for US Schools. Always expensive for us. Rental car inventories are not very big at Orlando since DME took over for thousands of people a day. Try searching some of the off brands at MCO but bring your insurance declaration page if you want to decline insurances.

Thanks for your reply. What I ended up doing was renting a car from the Disney car care center. Saved $150 after I spend $50 on a cab.

That's good... Hope the cab is not that much. I rent from Dollar which is in the hotel across from the Marketplace. Many of the rental places around WDW offer a free shuttle. Call and ask just in case, or use Uber for a lower cost ride.
