MCO Arrival Time with PreCheck?

How early should I plan on arriving at MCO with PreCheck? Our flight is with SW on a Thursday afternoon around 5:00 pm if that matters. I know the MCO lines can be crazy, but I am hoping PreCheck will shave some time off. I plan to have my boarding passes printed and will check any bags at our resort, so we will head right to the security line. Will 90 minutes before our flight be sufficient?

Thanks!

It's a domestic flight, so I would arrive 2 hours ahead of time, or at least plan to. I have gotten into terrible traffic on my way from Disney to MCO. I always allow plenty of buffer time for trams, traffic, etc. I am usually very early, but it is worth it to not be too stressed!

90 min would have had us sprinting to the gate a couple weeks ago. That's not fun for us.

We walked in 2 hours before the flight, took 5 min in the mvp gold line to check bags, went to security. We all had precheck. But it still took relative ages. Crowds for the monorail thing etc.

As it was we had time to change from FL to WA clothes, get water, and be relaxed.

MCO is insane and just when you relax there will be something going awry that makes you sprint.

Thanks! I am going to build an extra 15 minutes in for potential traffic/security lines, so I should have some buffer if an issue arises.

You should miss rush hour traffic w/5 pm flight. The most irritating wait for me is @ SWA counter to check bags. No idea why they don't staff it better.

We've been 'gifted' precheck several times @ MCO, but still 20 - 30 minutes to get thru security. Without it we rarely wait longer than an hour there.

I'd leave WDW @ 2 pm, gives you time to stop for gas, etc.

I have pre check but don't always get it at MCO for some reason. One time my husband did and I did not. We tried the separate lines and I beat him in the regular line. Point being, give yourself a little extra time. It's just so unpredictable there.

I plan to check in 24 hours before my flight and print my boarding pass so I should know if I didn't receive PreCheck for some reason...if that is the case I will give myself extra time.
