I just meant that the Bush quote was used effectively against him by Clinton and I believe that this particular Obama quote will ultimately harm him at the polls on election day.

You may be right, but Obama is not trying to hide the fact that middle class wages have been flat and the top tier income have increased tremendously under the "trickle down" theory of Bush/Cheney. Due to the economic environment of today, some middle class may be looking for some equity. Why should Warren Buffet pay a lower tax rate than his $60000 a year employee?

I paid a lower tax rate (keyword: effective) than Buffet. But he paid in a crap load more money than I did. His tax bill was about $7.8 million.

The Buffet story is misleading. There were no details on what his secretaries tax filings, just her tax bracket on her salary range. I know plenty of people who have much less effective tax rate than their tax bracket because of deductions and credits. The article I read said his secretary's tax rate was 30 percent on $60K. Well, for 2007 the tax rate for $60 is 25 percent.

2. McCain brought Joe's fake status and his FULL name up on national TV, McCain could have just said a guy named Joe and this guy might have been able to slide under the radar.

It's always entertaining to see the right attempt to blame McCain's gross miscalculations on Obama.

That's the thing - it's not a fake status. Joe is a plumber. He's not a licensed plumber but it appears that he's currently working towards his license. He's currently working for a licensed plumber and hopes to one day be licensed and own his own business. He was asking a question that would pertain to his future - not his current situation.

Oh, and maybe Palin was having a conversation with Obama and he was discussing all 57 states and those extra seven are shoved on the east coast and have put New Hampshire in the west.
