Wow...seems like McCain supporters really are a bit nervous.

I can openly admit that if McCain wins, I'll be a little disappointed. But my "day to day" life certainly won't change all that much. I'll worry more about the "big picture" under McCain with respect to foreign policy and his itchy trigger finger.

And I'll admit it, Sarah Palin scares the crap out of me....every one of us should be very worried about her getting anywhere close to the White House and the nuclear codes. In fact, if she and McCain lose, I don't even think that they should allow her to take a *tour* of the White House.

The Sabres kicked butt last night, too. My boy scored and he looked hot when they interviewed him. What's there to be "glum" about? This is just so dumb.

Yes, I'm just "touchy." Two young men last week from the noble South aimed to put a "target" on BO's back. Many others have hinted at it. But never mind. Enjoy your fantasy world in which the minority of right-wing conservatives get "revenge" on the evil Dems.

Okay, and EVERYONE posting on here thought that was horrible and were happy that the plot had been discovered. In that case, it wasn't a figure of speech. In the post you quoted, it was. The PC police can think whatever they want. But the MAJORITY of people in this country would be horrified if someone tried to kill the president. Regardless of who he/she is and what color his/her skin is.

I always wonder about this kind of thinking. If the president is legally empowered, why, as an american, wouldn't you try to give your support and help make the best of it that you can? I never understood this rationale. It seems so fatalistic and hopeless.

There's practically nothing that Bush did right for anyone to support him on.

Hmmm, yes, it's been so inspiring to see how many have supported President Bush!

By the way, I'm not glum either....as far as I know.

Just a question concerning the race card that Obama supporters have been so quick to jump on....if we are "racist" because we do not support Obama...why is it not clearly racist that 96% of blacks are supporting Obama? 96% of ANY demographic backing ANY polititician in ANY office at ANY time in history is unheard of. The ONLY difference is race.

No it's party. We all know Obama would not be pulling in those number if he were on the Republican ticket.

If we vote based on race, why didn't Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Shirley Chisholm and Lenora Fulani win when they ran?

If our support is based on race, how the heck do you explain the lack of black support for Rice and Thomas?
