We leave in a couple of weeks and last year I had identification tags made for our kids that had emergency contact info on them in case we somehow got separated. Now I'm thinking we won't need them because of MBs, right? I assume CMs who find a lost child can scan the band to find emergency contact information associated with the reservation, correct?

MagicBands are easily lost, especially by kids. If your kids aren't old enough to have memorized your cell phone numbers, they should wear their ID tags from last year.

I wrote to Disney specifically about identification information I was hoping we could store in the band. They replied that at this point there is no way to store that information in the account that a CM can access right away. They can scan the band, see what resort they are staying at and then proceed to call the resort and have them look up the emergency contact information if it is listed or if the parents have their cell phone on file. We chose to get our DD an ID bracelet instead of relying on the "system" they would use.
