MBA question

Hi! I am looking to continue my education with an MBA. I love the company I work for so would just be using it to benefit them (and myself!) - I am not planning on using it to get a job elsewhere. I found a great program at a local university and my employer will be reimbursing me for it. However, I remember reading on here that those of you that hire and or have an MBA stressed that people going for MBAs should make sure that they are from accredited universities. This university is accredited and the Bachelor's in Business Admin is accredited but there is no mention of the Master's degree being accredited. Does it need to be? Is this a question that I should be asking? TIA for your help! (This is not an online course or school-the courses are on nights and weekends.)

If it's a good university with a high quality undergrad business school, I'm sure their MBA school is probably fine as well.

The accreditation that's usually mentioned is http://www.aacsb.edu/ -- they have a member list on there you can search.

Thanks, Bob! I am so excited about their program (it includes two separate weeks of studying businesses abroad ) that I am trying to make sure that it doesn't have any downsides!

Good luck!! It sounds like a great program! Heck, my MBA school isn't even on that accreditation list, but I still loved our program.

This one wasn't either!! I looked up their accreditation again and it's accredited by ACBSP and they're a member of a couple of other collegiate business school groups as well. Whew! I need to take a bunch of undergrad classes to get into the program (I have a BS in Biology) but that will just get me ready for the 18 month MBA program.
