We're one of the few people in the planet w/o a smart phone so when I wanted to make a change to our FP+ today (just wanted to dump one we weren't going to use) I went in search of the FP+ kiosk areas. Found long lines (at AK around lunchtime). Found several of them and said 'to heck with it' - I wasn't going to stand in line to dump a FP (only wanted to do it in case someone else wanted it).
Then we found another one of the areas - over by the safari - long line for the FP+ kiosk and a single Guest Relations person (in plaid vest) directly next to the FP entrance for the safari. She was sitting down and when someone walked up she was directing them over to the long line. As we're on a fact finding reporting in mission, we went over to talk to her. Turns out - she COULD help us because - we had Magic Bands! She was directing 'non' magic band people to the long line. Score! I mean good for us and not good for folks w/o MB (sorry you guys).
As we were leaving AK we went by one of the long lined areas (behind the times board on Discovery Island). I asked the 'greeter' guy if the Guest Relations person could help us - he said they could help people with magic bands that "didn't need to do much". So in theory (according to him) they are just there to help with small changes for people with MagicBands.
Lesson I got from it - IF you have a magicband you also might have kind of a FP to getting help making / changing something.
Update from Wilderness Explorers - when we went in September they didn't have anything for when you completed all 20 of the badges (we asked) . NOW they do - DD just did her last 4 today - got a special sticker with a little ceremony and now she is a Senior Wilderness Explorer!!
