They CAN'T make it for you without a condiment??? This sounds utterly ridiculous to me! What about people with food allergies? Has anybody else had this same experience?

I'm asking because my DS15 has food allergies and also prefers his food to never have any condiments at all. Everything for him is always "on the side". This will be a big pita for us if we won't be able to get anything "plain" for him.

People with allergies can pre-order food. And they tell you that you aren't guaranteed allergy free food from the quick service restaurants (for allergies, they'll only guarantee it at the sit down restaurants -- well, not guarantee since on the Fantasy they served my sister something in the MDR she had an allergic reaction to -- although many report them working with you at other venues.) Flo's may be different than Goofy's Galley in that they make the food there so might be able to customize better. But at Goofy's the food is made elsewhere and brought over to them pre-made. Guess it's a hassle to get them to make it plain.

I will eat the awful stuff if it is in potato salad or tuna salad (unless the salad is extremely "creamy" and reeks of the stuff", but I would never, ever, ever, ever spread it on a sandwich. And if I ordered a sandwich or burger and mayo was on it even tho I had said, "no mayo", I cannot just scrape it off. I just can't manage to eat the "contaminated" sandwich. I'm not obsessive-compulsive about any other food in the world (believe me - I'm a half-Pooh sized grannie) but there is something about the stuff that is so gross. My sons are like this, too. Maybe there is a self help group for Mayo haters?!?!?!?

I was a mayo-skeever for decades until I was pg with my third child... Then I had to have it! Put it on every sandwich, all the while questioning my own sanity, and now, I almost like it and will occasionally order it... Especially on a BLT!

I love mayo so much that I empty my H2O bottles in the trash and fill them up with mayo so I can take it home.

I know they can make some stuff at Goofy's Galley made without mayo. My husband ate a bunch of stuff there and he doesn't like mayo at all. They can't take it out of the pre-made salads obviously but they don't automatically spread it on everything. Not that it really matters since all anyone needs to get from Goofy's Galley are the bacon and brie sandwiches.

Even if the sandwiches are generally premade with mayo already on them, I am sure you can get one specially made for you without it. My son has food allergies and we got many things made specifically for him to accommodate his needs. While we never came across mayonnaise, he is allergic to eggs, so we would have needed to have the sandwich made without mayo if we'd been in that situation.

You can always tell them "Mayonnaise makes me sick" - they don't need to know that it's just because you hate it and not because you truly can't eat it.

OMG, my DH was walking by as I pulled up this thread and he was horrified! He's a self-proclaimed mayonnaise connoisseur.

I think he shed a tear as he walked away...

I'll admit, I'm somewhat adverse to the stuff but this thread has me cracking up!

Nasty stuff and we have it on everything here now thanks to the US!!

Much prefer salad cream, so much nicer than Mayo.
I've even got lots of sachets to take with me in August ... I'll probably dish some out to the British CMs onboard along with Marmite and Jelly Babies too!!

This was not my experience. I ordered a BLT from room service and DH had a steak sandwich and neither had mayo on them. The only sandwich I had from Flo's was a Panini and it did not have mayo. My DH got a chicken sandwich one day and a burger another and neither of those had mayo either. I LOVE mayo but DH is a hater so he definitely would have complained had there been mayo. DH is a mustard hater also and everything he gets is "on the side" or ketchup only. We had no problems and I don't think you will either.
