Mayonnaise = "white death"!

I freely admit, I have the absolute most bizarre tastes and eating habits but I'm feeling just a wee bit better now that I know I'm not the only American in existence that cannot stand the sight of or feel of mayo or any similar condiment. I'm also glad to know there will be mayo-free food available on the Wonder when I sail in November. Yippee!:cool1:

Plant me firmly in the "Mayo is DISGUSTING" camp!!!!!

This has truly been informative, and I'm enjoying it.
I appreciate that it hasn't turned into a nasty debate like the Coke vs Pepsi threads sometimes do.

When I was in elementary school I tried Miracle Whip for the first time and thought it was cool. Now that I'm older I feel that Miracle Whip (salad dressing) is too sweet and ruins the taste of tuna fish and turkey sandwiches and potato and macaroni salads so I'm strictly a Hellman's girl now. Other than theses foods I don't eat much mayo.

I could eat mayonnaise with a spoon!!! I hate all these summer picnics where they offer ketchup & mustard and no mayo!!!!!!!

My mother does eat it by the spoon! I could take it our leave it but mostly leave it because it adds too many unnecessary calories. I can say from our experience, having a DH and kids who can't stand the stuff, the paninis and wraps on the Magic had mayo as did many of the sandwiches including the steak sandwich from room service. We always ordered from room service requesting many times no mayo and were lucky to be mostly successful. At Goofy's we weren't so successful. All sandwiches were premade with mayo and it would be at least a 30 minute wait for one without. Seemed so stupid to me, it would be much easier to allow everyone to choose their condiments like they do for burgers and hot dogs. We never bothered asking at Flo's after our experience at Goofy's.

You can't even get a fast food or restaurant burger without mayo automatically on it these days.

Mayo on a cheesesteak? Sacrilege! :faint: Now I've heard everything! Obviously someone in the kitchen has bumped his head. :headache::sad2:

I'm from Philly and I completely agree but then their steak sandwiches are a piece of steak on a roll even a greater sin! (BTW my mom loads mayo on cheese steaks too, probably one of the reasons for my aversion to mayo)

At Flos on the Fantasy, the roast beef and the caprese roll up didn't have mayonnaise. I believe the turkey was also served dry.

Now, I openly admit that I have my own food craziness (don't let the grapes and berries mingle with melon! It's RUINED!!!!!!) but not only do I not like mayo, but basically all condiments. Ketchup. Mustard. Salad dressing. All of it. Everything plain and dry. All those salads mixed with mayo? I've never even tried potato salad bc I'm too disgusted with mayo! Or tuna salad. Or chicken salad. Hummus, however, is wonderful. Ever had a sandwich spread with hummus? Tastes amazing! And much better for you!

All that being said, I've never had an issue on the cruise finding foods that will meets my....shall we say standards!

Mayonnaise - hate it, hate it, hate it. Salad dressing like M Whip - also hate it! :faint:
.............

Thanks for any advice!

This just made me laugh when I read this because back when my son was a Boy Scout and I an Assistant Scout Leader, there was one boy in the troop, he would literally eat a mayonnaise sandwich. He LOVES the stuff.

Hi! I'm Aeryn and I too am a mayo lover. I have done the mayo sandwich. Love it on burgers. Never done it on cold pizza. With french fries, it is good. But my favorite(and people find weird/gross) is fry dunked in chocolate shake and then eat it. Not kidding on that one :thumbsup2 And I hate mustard. :crazy2: Whew that was good to get off my chest.

Canned tuna ain't worth eating without Mayo. Now that I'm 80% lo carb, that's my biggest mayo use along with occasional turkey rollup...
