MAYbe we should go back to Disney World-A May 2012 PTR;6/7 Link to TR-Post#592; p. 40

Goodness gracious! We are planning on MK on the 30th as well.

By the way, my co-workers laugh at me because I told them once that every time I see the castle for the first time, I tear up a little bit. I love it!

:cool1: Maybe we'll see each other!

I do the same thing when I walk into MK and see the castle! I think it may be normal behavior for folks around here! :)

My family are also FP hoarders and I will be interested in hearing how the experience goes for you.

It's definitely going to be a learning trip for us. I'm hoping that it won't be as complicated as I'm thinking. Who wants to think too much on vacation? :confused3

I hope that we can ride Snow White before it closes and that the rumors that the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad refurb are just that...rumors.
Hoping that too! :thumbsup2

.I do have a tendancy to veer off every now and then:rolleyes1

Me to....must be adult onset ADD, or just old age!

Maybe we'll see you sometime during the day, and def during the dessert party--and those pictures of the desserts do look soooo yummy :)
Looking forward those desserts and to meeting you and your family during the party! :)

I can't believe you haven't seen the opening ceremony yet. You all are going to love it.

I know we will....Hopefully we'll get to see it this trip! :)

Ok so, I've read it closes on the 31st. Does this means its last day open is the 30th or will the 31st be its last day open and then its closed after that??

We don't have park hoppers this trip, so while we're there on the 30th, Snow White will still be open. But on our next scheduled MK day, it will already be closed. :thumbsup2

I hope you make it to Rope drop. It's one thing we definitely have to do every trip and my daughter and I are looking forward to it again this year!

Thanks! Fingers crossed we make it! ::yes::

I discovered this weekend through some FB pictures that relatives of friends that used to go to our church go to your school. She was showing pictures of her niece's field day. I knew the relatives lived in AL, but I didn't know what part until I saw the pictures.

How great! I might recognize the name, but not sure. There are a lot of elementary-age kids I don't know. Reid had field day Monday (all 3rd and 4th grades). K-2 had their day last week I think.

Y'all will enjoy the dessert party! My mom loved loved loved it (for her, it was more so for the fact we had a place to sit and watch the fireworks - without having to stake our claim an hour in advance - than for the desserts) In fact, she's put it on the "wish list" for our next trip :thumbsup2

I sure hope everyone enjoys it. It will be nice to not have to stake out a spot for Wishes. ::yes:: The only thing I'm disappointed about is that it is really not a good spot to see MSEP--and we've never seen it. :worried: We've only seen Spectro-which I love, love, love! We will be back to MK later in the week, so we'll watch it then.

I just read this article on EasyWDW regarding how to tour with the new FP enforcements... thought you might find it useful:

http://www.easywdw.com/worth-2/planning-around-disney-worlds-fastpass-return-enforcement-policy/

:thumbsup2 I had actually already read this very article. Josh makes a lot of good suggestions. I feel like I may need to print this article out and carry it with me! ;)

I too only know about the Animation Academy from Dis!!

:disrocks:

Happy Mother's Day, Michelle!

I have been a very bad DISer recently! I need to get these schedule updates finished, because we are less than two weeks now! :cool1:

This is a super crazy week for me! Our school's baseball team will be playing for a state championship this Wednesday and Thursday in Montgomery, so I will have a LOT of kids absent---I may even try to sneak down there on the second day---and that throws a lot of kinks into a week that should be spent reviewing for exams.

In addition to that, this is graduation week for Elizabeth! She graduates on Sunday afternoon, and we are having a party for her on Saturday afternoon/evening. I have a "to-do" list that ties up nearly every day this week!

I realized today, that when graduation is over, (and I know it will be here before I know it)-that it will be less than a week until Disney! :)

Day 5

For this day, Thursday, I don't have a definite plan. We will have already been to all four parks for one day each by this time, so I'm going to try to be flexible with the plan. It may be that folks want to sleep late, and just swim some during the afternoon.

Is there anything better than playing in the pool at the Poly, and being able to look across the lake and see the castle? :goodvibes

I had thought that we will probably go back to the Studios,

but it could be that the family would rather go to AK.

I have not made any dining reservations for this day, so that we can just go with the flow!

Sorry this is not a more "fun" update, but I feel like I'm stealing the time to get this one written as it is! Hopefully, I'll find some time again soon!

Very busy week!!! Congrats on the grad :)
Then next week will be fast too with final touches before vacation. . .and then the actual vacation :faint:
Enjoy the weekend, even though it will fly by. And look forward to the rest of your trip plans, no matter when they get posted :)

Congratulations on the upcoming graduation! Yay for baseball--my very favorite sport!

Your plans look great. . .oh to be in that pool at the Poly right now! :thumbsup2

Sooooo nice!

A sleep in and lounge around day sounds really good. :cool2:

Congratulations to the baseball team! :cheer2: These kinds of things are so exciting for the whole school. Much more exciting than exams. :teacher:

This is going to be a whirlwind couple of weeks for you! :crazy2:

Wow- what an exciting, busy week. Are there other activities in addition to graduation this week, or did a lot of those happen already?

Go Team (insert name here)!!!

You have the best photopass pictures! Did you preorder the CD for this trip? I got one for our big group, now I just have to put together instructions for all of the parents who don't know what it is or what to do.

I briefly considered adding on the ride plus, but it seems like a pain for a big group- I would have to get the numbers from the other groups and return to the rides to add them back on.

I love that your Day 5 is flexible- you will have a good idea of what you want to go back and do, or weren't able to do, earlier in the week. The Poly is certainly not a bad place to hang out while you are deciding what (if anything) to do.

I have serious pool envy. I want to swim in that pool. Forever.

I like unplanned days. You're going to have a great trip. It's so close now!!

You haven't been a bad Diser, just a busy one. ;) Tell Elizabeth that I said congratulations on the graduation!

I love days where you don't have any plans and just do whatever you feel like doing! :cool1: That view from the Poly pool is amazing! :lovestruc I absolutely have to stay there someday soon, it's just so beautiful there!

Really? We're right below you! ;) Sounds like you need to visit!

I'd love to come visit ... but if I'm going to drive that far, I'm going to tack on a few more hours and spend some time with a Mouse. :lmao::rotfl2:

I'm over in East TN, so it would be a chunk of a drive to get to your region. :p

Thanks! :) I know that the rest of this week will fly by, and then once I send Eliz off on her trip Monday morning, maybe I can focus more on our Disney trip!

Thanks! :)

After the day I've had, relaxing in that Poly pool sounds wonderful! :cloud9:

You're absolutely correct! Those things are a way lot more exciting than exams.....even for the teachers! ;)

I love relaxing in the Poly pool, and my kids love it too! :thumbsup2

:goodvibes Thanks so much Lisa!

You have the best photopass pictures! Did you preorder the CD for this trip? .

There have already been several activities for the seniors. Most recently, this past Sunday night, they had Senior Candlelight. It's usually held on the river, and they have a devotional, light their candles (floating ones, of course), and then set them in the water. The candles are representative of them going out into the world, letting their light shine! :goodvibes Of course, Sunday is filled with activities. I'll try to update about some of that after the fact.

Last trip, I was part of a photopass share (not sure if I'm supposed to tell that or not!) , and it was great! My share of the cost was around $20, and I probably got over 60 pics. I almost drove my family crazy stopping for every picture opportunity!

Oh, that view from the Poly pool is amazing! I really hope to stay there one day!!!

Love the Poly pool, and the Poly too! :cloud9: Hope you can get to stay there one day!

I figure after four days, we'll need a lazy day!

SAB is awesome, but the view from the Poly pool can't be beat! :thumbsup2

I've driven over to east TN several times, so I know what you're talking about! :thumbsup2

Everytime I have gone to Disney I have known someone else going around the same time, so I have split the cost on my 3 photopasses.

I prepurchased the CD for the school trip and I have offered to organize all of the photos taken on the trip. That may be the mother of all photopass shares!

I wish I could get in on one for this trip! It was great. But I'm so technologically challenged, I can't volunteer to get one together! I didn't pre-order one this time.

That's going to be a huge thing for you to split that up with everyone on your school trip!

Love that picture of the Poly pool! It's things like that that make me miss staying there. :(

Sounds like you're staying pretty busy until your trip!

Go with the flow days can turn out to be some of the best. It's nice to leave things up in the air, occasionally. And that view from the pool.... I remember when I was at the Poly last week; I turned to my mom and said, "How lucky are those guests? They get to see the Castle while relaxing in the pool.":rotfl: It must be very nice!

Congratulations to Elizabeth! :woohoo:

Man, that picture of the Poly pool ... what an awesome view! We HAVE to stay there sometime. I know I've said it before, but I can't wait to read your report and "stay there" vicariously through you!

Keeping busy is a good thing. Y'all will be on your way to the World before you know it!
